2010 NFL Season: NFC East Preview
Known as the most competitive division in the NFL, the NFC East got even more interesting this year with Donovan McNabb going from the Eagles to the Redskins.
No. 4 - Philadelphia Eagles
After another disappointing playoff loss a year ago, the Eagles decided to go a different route and rebuild. They did this by dumping two of the franchises most important players: Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook.
For Westbrook, this was a move that had to be made because of his constant injuries. However, with Donovan McNabb, the Eagles shocked the football world by trading him to their division rivals, the Washington Redskins.
With both of those players gone, the Eagles turn to Kevin Kolb to be the leader of their team. They have shown a lot of faith in the fourth year quarterback out of Houston, and if he turns out like an Aaron Rodgers, I have a feeling Eagles fans will be satisfied.
However, that's a big if. Only time will tell.
No. 3 - New York Giants
After a red hot start last season, the Giants collapsed, missing the playoffs while giving up over 40 points in their final two games.
However, the problem wasn't Eli Manning. He had his best statistical year, but unfortunately for him, the Giants defense struggled mightily. They looked lost after losing Steve Spagnuolo to the Rams.
For the Giants to succeed in the 2010 season, the defense must show up, as well as Brandon Jacobs and the Giants running game.
No. 2 - Washington Redskins
After a disastrous 4-12 season, the Redskins made major changes in the offseason, including acquiring Donovan McNabb and hiring Mike Shanahan as their head coach.
With a proven quarterback running the offense, the Redskins get something they haven't had in years. McNabb is eager to prove everyone wrong and is still focused on that one thing: A Super Bowl title.
It will be an interesting season for the Redskins, and with the talent they have, they are a real threat in the NFC.
No. 1 - Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have their sights set on one thing in 2010: A Super Bowl. After finally winning a playoff game in 2009, the Cowboys will be looking to build on that this season.
The talent is there on the Cowboys' roster. They have all the pieces to be great.
Also, they may have gotten lucky with Miles Austin dating Kim Kardashian; seeing as how the Kardashian family has delivered champions. Just ask Reggie Bush and Lamar Odom. Is Miles Austin next?
