British Open Office Pool – Golf Head to Head Pick'em Format
For a British Open office pool I am proposing a new format that I think will work great. The office pool format is based on the head to head match-ups and involves a pick'em style of play.
Here is how I would put on a: GOLF HEAD TO HEAD OFFICE POOL
Objective: To pick the winners of each head to head match-up
Group Size: Any
1) Print out a list of Head to Head match-ups from Bodog.com like the following:
Tiger Woods team info!" rel="nofollow" target="_new">Tiger Woods | |
Phil Mickelson team info!" rel="nofollow" target="_new">Phil Mickelson |
2) For each Head to Head match-up, participants will pick who they think will be ahead between the two players at two points in the tournament...after rounds 1-2 and after 3-4
3) Tiebreaker Question - Each participant will pick who they think will win the Open and actual winner's final score.
Scoring:
After Rounds 1-2
- 1 point per correct pick
After Rounds 3-4
- 2 points per correct pick
Tiebreaker
- Participant who picks the winner or who's winner finishes highest
- Closest to the total score of the winner
4) Winner is the participant who scores the most total points after the 4 rounds.
Payouts:
- 60% to 1st place
- 30% to 2nd place
- 10% to 3rd place
