View From The Pali, Volume Nine: Blues Winless Streak Up To Seven
This has not been the year for Charlie Naimo's Pali Blues. It is clearly apparent that they will not make the postseason, and there is no doubt that they will be looking for answers when the offseason begins.
Over the Independence Day weekend, the Colorado Force and the Santa Clarita Blue Heat read the last rites for Pali's W-League title defense.
On Thursday, July 1, Hikari Nakade was the lone scorer in Pali's 1-1 draw with the Colorado Force. Goalkeeper Chante Sandiford was unable to hold off the equalizer in the 87th minute of play.
The Blues had six shots on goal but committed ten fouls in another physical W-League contest.

The match with the Blue Heat on Monday may just about ended any chances for Pali to catch the Colorado Rush, who the Blues will wrap up their regular season campaign against. Pali lost 1-0 to Santa Clarita, extending the winless streak to seven matches.
The Blues will look to end the slump in their season finale on Saturday, July 17 at the Stadium by the Sea. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
