Fantasy Rankings 2010: Defense

Bryan BrackneyJul 6, 2010
  1. New York Jets - Rex Ryan can record sacks out of anything, and Revis will force bad throws on the other side of the field.
  2. Minnesota Vikings - Jared Allen and Ray Edwards will get sacks, and Percy Harvin will return punts for touchdowns.
  3. Philadelphia Eagles - The Eagles have Asante Samuel recording interceptions, Desean Jackson returning punts, and an improved pass rush.
  4. Green Bay Packers - The Packers consistently have one of the most active secondaries in the NFL.
  5. Dallas Cowboys - DeMarcus Ware is a fantasy machine. Mike Jenkins should record a lot of interceptions.
  6. Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers have a great duo of outside linebackers who will combine for 20-plus sacks.
  7. Baltimore Ravens - Ed Reed will return, which means more interceptions. Terrell Suggs should record plenty of sacks.
  8. San Francisco 49ers - Like the Jets, the 49ers defense as a team records a lot of sacks. Mike Singletary is going to impress people in his second year.
  9. New Orleans Saints - Gregg Williams will continue to confuse offenses and force sacks and turnovers.
