Got $$$$$$?: Ranking Money in the Bank Ladder Matches
In light of the fact that the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View is coming up, it's only fitting to rank the six ladder matches that have had a big impact on the wrestling world.
All six matches were great, but only a select few have really stuck out in my mind. All of these matches, however, are enough to knock the socks off a person.
6. WrestleMania XXVI

If anyone were to say that this match was the worst one of them all, I would agree. But it's not really saying much because this match was still good.
What I remember most about it are these three things:
1. The shooting star press off the ladder by Evan Bourne
2. Kofi using a broken ladder as stilts
3. And the Twist of Fate off the Ladder by Matt Hardy.
Even with all these good points, it wasn't a match without drawbacks. One being the fact that the WWE misused the winner and made him a wuss, another was including too many people in the match, and the last was not using the main players as well as in previous years.
Still, the match was good and actually was one of the best matches at this year's WrestleMania.
5. WrestleMania XXIV

A lot of people really like this MitB, but I wasn't so amazed with it. Sure, John Morrison's moonsault with the ladder was cool, Shelton stole the show, and Matt Hardy made a cameo.
Okay maybe it was amazing, but it doesn't really stick out in my mind and I don't know why. So please don't kill me fanboys.
4. WrestleMania 22

There's one good reason why this one was slightly better than 24's, and the reason being is that everyone had their shining moment. Matt Hardy, Bobby Lashley, Ric Flair, Finaly, Shelton Benjamin, and Rob Van Dam. All six of the participants had a chance to shine and they did. Some more than others, but they all amazed me.
Also this match stayed true to the roots of a ladder match while giving it the new school flair. I'm talking about Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels roots and TLC Match new school flair. This match is actually a sleeper when thinking of MitB.
There are a lot of reasons why this match was good but you might want to just watch it instead of taking my word for it.
3. WrestleMania 25

This match! You have wrestlers flying everywhere, falling into ladders and canvases, broken ladders, and chaos on a whole, new, level!
To start, you have the return of the Pontiff of the Peepulation, and he was amazing. Kane made a return too, and he was also great. This included Shelton's biggest WrestleMania moment by emulating Jeff Hardy, Hornswoggle's tadpole splash knocking everyone down, Kofi going crazy on everyone, Finlay and MVP flying, and so much more. WOW!
This was a very surprising one to watch, and it was thrilling to boot. This could've been #1 but...
2. WrestleMania 21

The original Money in the Bank Ladder Match was full of fun and craziness. I mean obviously it had to be. The first one showcased the talent Raw had remarkably.
To start, you have two out of four TLC originators just going insane on everyone: The Canadian Crippler using his head, Y2J, a Big Red Monster, and a semi-unknown midcarder who proved himself worthy of a main event match. All six participants knew how to handle these type of matches and had a lot of fun with it.
Also, this one match included in Shelton Benjamin's repertoire proved that this match should be mostly associated with him and not Edge, because he stole the show and should have won. With his showcase he amazed everyone.
The other five had nothing to prove but still put on a great show. There were thrown ladders, broken ladders, bloodshed, broken bones, and even steel chairs made a cameo. This was not only a fantastic MitB, but a fantastic Ladder Match also.
1. WrestleMania 23

In the words of Joey Styles, OH MY GOD!!!! This Match took breaking bodies apart and made it a sport. Almost everyone took a hard fall in this match and it did nothing but put more amazement in viewers.
21's had two TLC Vets but this one had three which is always welcome. As an added plus, Randy Orton just put RKOMania on everyone and had his first Extreme WrestleMania moment by RKOing CM Punk off a ladder.
Of course, Jeff Hardy's leg drop on Edge was another OMG moment. That's what a Ladder Match should be about, making viewers say OMG and this match made OMG an understatement.
Just phenomenal..

This Slideshow may be a little controversial but all it does is create cash. The match is just phenomenal and while it could lose its appeal with the Pay-Per-View, the participants will make it what it is: Excellent!
It's come a long way, but the match will still be excellent no matter what. Let's see what the future holds, though, and watch in amazement.
