Fantasy Rankings 2010: Kickers
Bryan BrackneyJul 4, 2010
- Nate Kaeding - Kaeding completed 32 of 35 field goals last year, and will once again be a top fantasy kicker.
- Garrett Hartley - Hartley is a young kicker, who has solid but not elite distance. His lack of ability will be overlooked by fantasy owners because of the Saints offense.
- David Akers - Akers isn't the most accurate kicker, but he has a long range and the Eagles have a high flying offense.
- Ryan Longwell - Longwell is a solid all-around kicker, with good accuracy and range. He would benefit from Favre returning.
- Mason Crosby - Crosby is a very inaccurate kicker, but Aaron Rodgers leads the Packers offense to fantasy heaven.
- Stephen Gostkowski - Gostkowski has above average range and average accuracy. That's good enough for the Patriots high octane offense.
- Lawrence Tynes - Tynes does not have great accuracy, but he has solid leg strength. In larger leagues he is a solid number one option.
- Rob Bironas - One of the biggest legs in the NFL, but he lacks a high-power offense. Accuracy could be better.
- Jeff Reed - He has pretty good accuracy, but his leg power and off-the-field issues need to be brought into consideration.
- David Buehler - How could a kicker who has never made a field goal in the NFL be the tenth best fantasy option. The Dallas offense, that's how.
