Why Randy Orton Is The Next Big Thing In WWE!
When reading Good Ol' Jim Ross' Q&A, I came across a very interesting Question. Who do you think is the next big thing in pro-wrestling? And he said Randy Orton with small hesitation and I couldn't agree more. Randy Orton IS the next best thing. He has been on RAW for the vast majority on his career and has been part of the most successful stables in the 21st Century; Evolution, Legacy, Rated RKO. He has feuded with Triple H, Undertaker, John Cena, Kurt Angle and many more of WWE's top stars. At Wrestlemania he has faced the likes of The Rock, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Triple H and Rey Mysterio, not to mention he main-evented the 25th Wrestlemania! Which brings me to my first point. Was Vince McMahon telling us something when Randy Orton was given that massive feud with Triple H and the McMahon Family? Of course he was. WWE prefer not to rub the fact Triple H is married to Stephanie in our noses, although DX often made hints they would never just say it. But in this feud they introduce real-life to give it more intensity, which it clearly did. And for it to reach the main event at Wrestlemania 25 is something really special. This was Vince McMahon telling us that now Orton is bigger than Cena.. I hope. Legacy was also put in place to prepare us for Randy Orton's domiance. His feud with John Cena has certified him as a major player in WWE's future. You see in WWE, you get a main event status and then you get that surge of popularity that pushes you beyond any measurable rankings and that is where Randy Orton has set up camp. From Wrestlemania 25 main-eventer to feuding with the McMahon's to leading his own stable to feuding with WWE's mega star, John Cena. And now Randy Orton has certified his place in the final segment of RAW. He is also getting more attention than any current WWE star and believe it or not he may be overtaking John Cena as WWE's biggest star. With this news I could not be more happier. But as for Randy Orton getting Austin-status, do I see it happening. Obviously pro-wrestling isn't getting the same numbers of followers as it used to, but I believe Orton has the look, gimmick, experience and mic skills to go all the way. He is the PG verison of Stone Cold and I would bet more than enough money that we will see him in the main-event of Wrestlemania next year in Atlanta health permitting. So in conclusion I believe the next big thing in pro-wrestling is Randy Orton and I say that with no heisitation at all!
