Five Late-Round NFL Sleepers
I love late round targets! Jabar Gaffney - My good friend Rustyn from fantasyknuckleheads.com turned me on to Gaffney. Look at what he did in the last game of the season last year. He is really the veteran presence in Denver which goes a long way when the other WR's are rookies or last years bust (Royal). Gaffney will be drafted in the last rounds of drafts but has a huge upside and if the rookies struggle. Don't be surprised to see Jabar with 700+ yards and 5+TDs making him a nice bye week or injury spot starter. Jarrett Dillard - Troy Williamson is a real yawn party and will lose his WR3 spot in Jax to Jarrett Dillard who deserves the opportunity. He can be had in the last round of the draft or picked up later in the season off the waiver wire. I am writing about him because you need to keep an eye on his production as he starts opposite Mike Sims-Walker. Sims-Walker has a history of injuries so he could easily be the WR1 a couple weeks this year. You have been warned. Ahmad Bradshaw - Brandon Jacobs drives me nuts, enter Bradshaw who could be the best RB back-up in 2010 with some real production. He should give you near 1,000 yards and near double digit TD's. Beast mode for a late rounder. Jacoby Jones - This is the year he steps up and shows us that he can produce solid digits. Should produce 700+ yards and near double digit TD's in 2010. If you also receive points for kick-off and punt returns his value increases that much more. If he is around in the last couple rounds then don't hesitate. Javon Ringer - Rolly Poly LenDale White is out and Ringer is going to be a nice pick-up in the late round. He is getting all the first team reps this off-season. If Chris Johnson is hurt or misses a game or two like he always does then Ringer starts. Don't be surprised to see a solid 2010. Lovin' the late round suggestions?
