BIG TEN FOOTBALL: Iowa Hawkeyes 2008 Season Predictions

What has happened to the Iowa football program?  This just may be Kirk Ferentz's toughest year at Iowa.  With all of the off field issues and a complete lack of an offense, this could be a very long season for Hawkeye fans.

Here are my predictions for the the Iowa Hawkeyes 2008 season.

8/30     MAINE

This could be the Hawkeyes' first and only easy game.

Prediction:  Win (28-7)

9/06     FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL

It's sad when Florida International is a tough game.

Prediction:  Win (27-21)

9/13     IOWA STATE

Will Iowa show up for this rivalry game?

Prediction:  Loss (21-17)

9/20     at PITT

LeSean McCoy runs all over the Hawkeyes.

Prediction:  Loss (35-17)

9/27     NORTHWESTERN

Iowa's first Big Ten game doesn't get any easier.

Prediction:  Loss (31-21)

10/04   at MICHIGAN STATE

Javon Ringer and Brian Hoyer can do no wrong.

Prediction:  Loss (42-21)

10/11   at INDIANA

Iowa can't stop Kellen Lewis.

Prediction:  Loss (31-17)

10/18   WISCONSIN

Can the Hawkeyes regroup for this huge home game?

Prediction:  Loss (42-21)

11/01   at ILLINOIS

The Hawkeyes can't handle the Juice.

Prediction:  Loss (35-10)

11/08   PENN STATE

The Nittany Lions get a scare.

Prediction:  Loss (24-17)

11/15   PURDUE

The Hawkeyes can't possibly go 0-8 in Big Ten play. 

Prediction:  Loss (31-28)

11/22   at MINNESOTA

Can the Hawkeyes finally win one?

Prediction:  Win (28-24)

Final Record 3-9.  The Hawkeyes will have some serious issues to contend with at the end of this abysmal season.  Perhaps Kirk Ferentz will finally bolt for the NFL.  If he does stick it out, he will have his work cut out for him.
