Questions Stemming From the 6/25 Edition of Smackdown

Less than a week removed from the Fatal 4-Way pay per view, we get our first Smackdown event of the second Rey Mysterio Era.  The following are the questions I have stemming from the event.

Think of this as part-feedback, part-humor.

Hey Teddy Long, given your comment about his disposition, what would you expect Drew McIntyre's disposition to look like if he had sucked on a RIPENED persimmon?

(Also, what the heck is a persimmon?  Most random Teddy Long comment I've heard in a while, but it made me chuckle.  Certainly not a full fledged laugh, but a chuckle for sure)

Why are we supposed to care what kind of Father's Day Jack Swagger's Dad had?

(Nice way to gain heel heat, though)

How in the world does Big Show step on someone's chest without killing them?

Why does Curt Hawkins wear a choker?  I thought only women wore those... back in the early 90's!

If we can't have another Edge & Christian reunion and the WWE doesn't want to give Christian the Intercontinental Title, isn't it nice that he's actually teaming up with the same guy two weeks in a row?  And isn MVP/Christian a good pairing?  Wouldn't Mark Henry & Christian be a lot better?

Why hasn't MVP been given a chance to challenge for the World Heavyweight Title yet (pay per view or free TV)?   He's got the look, charisma, a decent moveset and plenty of fans.  He doesn't have to win the World Title, but at least show what he can do in the big time opportunity.

What percentage of WWE fans do the people behind the Twilight movies actually think are going to be interested in watching the Twilight movies?  Do they really have that much advertising funding to waste?  Is there a huge opportunity gap with Gossip Girl over for the season?

How is it that Vance Archer is the same guy who used to be Lance Hoyt?  Did TNA do that terrible of a job with him during the final days of his run with the company?  He looks nothing like the guy from Rock & Rave Connection.

Does anyone reading this actually remember Rock & Rave Connection?

Is that because Christy Hemme was involved?

Why am I talking about TNA in a WWE-related article?

How under-rated is Dolph Ziggler at selling other peoples' moves?

(He could use a little more psychology, but what can you expect in a six-man tag?)

For all the times Christian waits on the top rope for his opponent to fully stand up before doing his missile dropkick, why doesn't he figure out a move to do when his opponent is crouching and looking in the opposite direction?

RAW Recap Question - When NXT Season 1 destroyed Vince McMahon, did you start to like them (collectively) a little more?  Isn't that the opposite of how WWE wants people to react to them?

Do people really still think Bryan Danielson was legitimately fired?

When Kane looks into an open casket, how many people still think about Katie Vick?

Predators and the Randy Couture doorway workout machine: these are wrestling-show advertisements.  Do the Twilight people SERIOUSLY not get that?

Can things between Matt Hardy and Drew McIntyre FINALLY be over?  This feud has run its course.

Are we really cheering the fact that Drew McIntyre is being deported due to VISA issues?

How is WWE going to act like Vince McMahon pulled strings to keep McIntyre in the United States?

If Linda McMahon gains political office, would she catch any flack from her peers for an angle like this?

Against All Odds mentioned not only on WWE.com but also on Smackdown?  Ironic.

How many people watching Smackdown actually know that Against All Odds is a TNA pay- per-view name?

How many people watching Impact last night actually know that Against All Odds is a TNA pay per view name?

Given that Cody Rhodes looks a lot cooler with that signature jacket he wore to the ring, how much cooler would he look if he got to wear wrestling "shorts" that were longer than a pair of tighty whiteys?

How funny is it to watch Cody Rhodes run-down Husky Harris for his appearance given that Dusty Rhodes is Cody's father, and Dusty was in similar shape to Husky Harris during his run as one of the best competitors in the business?

Wouldn't this gimmick be a little more uncomfortable if Cody's wrestling "shorts" were white?

How reminiscent of old-school HBK was it when "Dashing" Cody Rhodes laid across the top rope in the corner?

How blitzed would the 21+ portion of the WWE Universe be if there was a drinking game based on the number of times Cody Rhodes said "Dashing"?

Does Vickie Guerrero not understand that people are just with her for her power, or does she not care?

Why does Rosa Mendes jump rope in the ring?

How funny would it be if LayCool made Kaval start wearing baby girl pink ring attire?  The pink polo shirt is funny enough, but that would take it to the next level.

Now that we know LayCool told Rosa to jump rope to get into shape, how long before someone (Kelly Kelly) gets choked with that jump rope?

Why can't WWE use the slow-motion video they have for John Morrison for situations like when Kelly Kelly jumps rope?

If WWE Shopzone sold the hooded evening gown skirt combos with leather boustiers that LayCool wears, how many women in the WWE Universe would want one?

How many male significant others would jump at the chance at buying those outfits for their lovely ladies?

Why would CM Punk's worst nightmare involve wrestling someone on the Smackdown roster?  Do the WWE announcers think he has such little creativity that he can't think of something scarier than doing his job?

Would it be ironic if "the honest man" Alberto Del Rio's real name wasn't actually Alberto Del Rio?

How long is CM Punk's hair going to be when he takes off that luchador mask?

If the main event match between CM Punk and Kane is No Disqualification, why aren't the rest of the Straight Edge Society helping Punk from the very start of the match?  Isn't that part of his gimmick that he likes to get help?  Why did it take Luke Gallows so long to show up?

If another guy shows up at the arena wearing only green and black "shorts" with stars on them, sporting a black luchador mask and a long goatee, is there a chance someone would think it's CM Punk and let him backstage?  Would it depend on the number of tattoos he has?

Entertaining episode of Smackdown.  Good work, WWE.

TNA should take note.
