Italy has struggled to find form so far in the World Cup and the standard of their play has been so far below what the world expected of them that it is hard to see them managing to turn things around against Slovakia.

Struggling against New Zealand where they had to resort to dishonesty just to achieve a draw, Italy just doesn't seem to be able to get the ball to where it needs to go and then put it on target.

Their shots have been rushed and panicky, not at all the sort of play that will help them overcome the likes of Slovakia.

So I think that Slovakia has the chance here to eliminate Italy, and they should apply a lot of pressure from the get-go. Italy, always an emotional team, should buckle under that pressure and follow France out of South Africa.

Prediction: Slovakia by two or more goals.
