This week starts the summer portion of the PGA Tour in Cromwell Connecticut at River Highlands, a TPC course.

In Yahoo! Fantasy Golf so far this season, I am in the 86th percentile with 3521 points and in the position of 21.203.

In the beginning of the season, I tried to pick players that finished high on the previous Fed-Ex point race last season.

Also you usually get points from the player that won the previous year at the same course, but the repeat win is a bit more difficult.

Dustin Johnson got me a repeat pick at Pebble Beach for the Pro-Am and sorry about the Open, dude. I had you to win it and for three days I looked pretty good.

This week, I have selected Bill Haas. Who has won this year and is high on the Fed Ex Cup points list so far.

I have noticed Haas' name a bit near the upper part of leader boards so let's roll the dice this week.

Just in case Haas does not make the cut, he will have a back up of Ryan Moore, playing solidly this season.

In the B-player spots this week I will call upon Retief Goosen and Adam Scott. Their bench support will be Bo Van Pelt and Jeff Overton.

Overton has been right there, a number of times this season, and I think a win comes soon for him.

In the C-player position this week, will be Shaun Micheel, just excellent lately with his back up being, Spencer Levin, another player not so well known, but with high finishes in some events.

The weather will be hot and humid with fast greens during the weekend, but nothing like the Open at Pebble last week.

Look for guys that played well at Pebble to maybe have a bit of an easier time this week, as long as jet lag is not a factor.

Well rested, good conditioned players would seem to have an advantage in the heat, but golf doesn't always work like that.

Still, you have to have a confidant swing groove and no fear. Many more players are lifting light weights and working out, compared to the old days of winning a tournament and losing the winning check in the bar.

This has happened, but I'll skip the details. Some of you know who he might be—John Daly.

Anyhow, enjoy the week as the Travelers get underway Thursday.

Bowling league update after Thursday night will be coming soon.

Current average 187, 12 games.
