WWE Making All the Right Choices For a Bright Future

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 23, 2010

The last three months or so, I have noticed that WWE has been making some changes, and most of them are for the better.

Vince McMahon and his merry band of writers have made some major alterations in the form of new pushes for superstars, format changes and new feuds.

At the end of 2009 all I heard from the IWC was how WWE was having the same matches over and over again. Now it seems as if WWE is listening to us, by changing things up.

The first thing I began to notice was that new people were getting pushed. For awhile it was Edge, Batista, HHH, Orton, Undertaker and Jericho in the main events.

Now we have guys like Jack Swagger, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Miz, Evan Bourne and The Hart Dynasty getting some of the spotlight.

Jack Swagger may have been pushed into a World Title too soon in some people's opinion, but his reign was a nice change from the normal title holders.

Sheamus broke onto the scene and dominated everyone until becoming WWE champion after a record four month wait.

Kofi has been a US, IC, and tag champion, and his push seems to be gaining speed. He bested the McMahon protoge recently, and will most likely move on to another good feud soon.

Miz is becoming WWE's fastest rising heel. His mic skills are outstanding, and each week he gets better in the ring. He may end up with a World Title shot soon if he keeps picking up steam like this.

Evan Bourne went from jobber to Jericho's nemesis. Bourne is exciting and original in the ring, which may be why WWE is grooming him to be a top contender. His size makes him the ideal underdog, and his finisher gets a huge pop every time.

The Hart Dyansty may have gotten a push because of Bret, but they are holding their own very well. I think Tyson Kidd has a very bright future ahead of him.

Rey Mysterio won his second World Title this past week, after many people said he would never win another. His first title reign was attributed to his relationship with Eddie Guerrero, but his new reign is proof that WWE has faith that he can carry a brand.

The NXT invasion angle has been very successful for both WWE and the NXT guys. Attacking Cena, Hart and McMahon make them the new NWO, but hopefully better. Their freshness is what makes the angle work so well, it's just too bad they dropped the ball and fired Bryan Danielson before he could really take off as a fan favorite.

CM Punk has been in WWE for a few years, and has seen tons of success. He is a former ECW, IC, tag and World champion. His feud with Rey Mysterio was one of the better in recent memory for both men.

John Morrison seems to have stalled a bit in his push, but his ankle injury had a lot to do with that, so hopefully he will be back in title contention soon.

Another big change in WWE is the acknowledgement of a wrestling world outside WWE. While they may not mention promotions by name, they do recognize past experience of the new superstars, which is great.

Kane's new push is nice to see as I always felt he was an under utilized character on WWE television. I hope the rumors of a Kane/Taker casket match are true.

That's it for me, what changes have you guys been happy with lately?
