John Cena Gets His Groove Back

Last night's Monday Night Raw took place in Bridgeport Connecticut, a mere half hour from my town of Greenwich. I wasn't able to be there last night due to other commitments.

Boy did I miss out. 

Raw seemed to be on fire. Despite the annoying text message sounding updates from the "anonymous general manager", we had on our hands a great show. 

No guest host? No problem. I enjoy Rob Zombie but next week's show has its work cut out for it. 

Sheamus cut one of the best promos of his short career. The man is a natural on the mic and he is really coming together in the ring. 

Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne was a great match for those of who missed the PPV. It's nice to see Jericho even up the score. Bourne is great but I don't want to see Y2J take the job every single time. 

The Miz cut a great promo on Randy Orton. He spoke for more than himself when he said that "people are tired of the viper." Miz looks to break into the main event and for once, I actually believe the words coming out of his mouth. 

Even Zack Ryder showed some character in the ring. His gimmick is a little over the top but it's nice to see him on a show that isn't Superstars. Same goes for Primo. 

More than anything else we saw John Cena look like more than just the poster boy for the WWE. In our Brave New PG World, one might have thought that Cena would've accepted the NXTer's apology. 

Nope. 

The IWC may hate Cena. But he's not going anywhere. 

Cena looks better than he has in a long time. The NXT story line may not be what it was with Daniel Bryan (though the audience sure wanted him back) but it's shaping up. It'll be interesting to see if Sheamus or Cena turn out to be their prime target. Maybe both. 

I don't know why they attacked Vince McMahon last night. I do know this though. I'm looking forward to Raw next week.
