3:12 pm: Just to give an update on what has been going on today... Federer wins in five after dropping the first two sets to Alejandro Falla. Roddick, Dent, Perry Evans, Fish, and Oudin, all win. Davydenko came back from two sets down to win 9-7 in the fifth. Henin and Clijsters take the first step and Venus is on her way. Djokovic is looking bad against Olivier Rochus.

11:27 am: Alas it's over, and Federer wins. 6-0 in the final set.

11:25 am: Give credit to Falla as Federer extends lead 5-0. The only sad thing was, that he should have won. I feel for him, but he had so many chances it is very hard to explain.

11:19 am: Federer breaks Falla, 3-0. Alas, how dissapointing this is.

11:18 am: Falla cannot hit it over the net on his advantage.

11:07 am: Well, Federer broke to start the fifth set, that might start to spell the end at this great potential upset.

11:04 am: Sorry for leaving. I was writing something else for a period of time. We, unfortunately go to the fifth set after Federer took the tiebreak in the fourth. A lot of missed chances for Alejandro Falla.

10:00 am: Falla blows the point! He dropped four break points. Eesh. Then he holds.

9:57 am: Falla goes up 0-40, but Fed fighting back. Deuce.

9:54 am: Falla HOLDS! A break and a hold, and it is over!

9:51 am: Falla finding a way. 3-3, just three games away. That will be a long three games.

9:45 am: Federer holds. Fish takes a two set lead after winning a tiebreak. Cilic down a break, Massu and Levine in thier respective fourth sets.

9:53 am: Well, Falla holds after not making his first serves. Fed doubles to start his service. 15-15 though.

9:40 am: AND ANOTHER HUGE UPSET BREWING! Kevin Anderson has a two to nothing set lead on seventh ranked Nikolay Davydenko

9:39 am: Federer holds serve, 2-1.

9:35 am: Falla just fine, 1-1.

9:33 am: Federer takes the first game of the third set.

9:31 am: Falla being seen by the ATP trainer. A little nervous. Maybe he needs to calm down for a minute, I know I need to. Lopez won the third set, but Levine took a break lead in the fourth.

9:29 am: You didn't miss much during this time. Five matches ended, but nothing special. Daniel Brands did win in the third set.

9:27 am: Fourth set point.

9:26 am: Then Falla loses the easy one. Break point.

9:25 am: Federer misses the easy one on deuce. SET POINT for the third time!

9:23 am: SET POINT!

9:23 am: Deuce. Shenay Perry wins.

9:21 am: Ljubicic and Arvidsson lose. 30-30 for Falla.

9:18 am: Federer holds easily. Falla to serve for the set. Same situation going on at court one. Kevin Anderson up a break and a set against seventh ranked Nikolay Davydenko.

9:16 am: Falla holds, wow. 5-3, one game away from a two set lead!

9:15 am: Falla couldn't hold at 40-15, deuce.

9:12 am: That was Berenkis' first ever major match. Yen-Hsun Lu wins his first round match too.

9:10: Ricardas Berenkis is a winner in the first round, and oh yea, FALLA BREAKS AGAIN! He goes up 4-3 and is two holds away from a two set lead. So yea, history in the making, that's a major understatement.

9:09: Shenay Perry up 7-6, hoping to break to win the match. 0-30 on Feds serve.

9:08 am: Falla makes it 3-3. Wow.

9:02 am: The American Shenay Perry ties it up 6-6 in the final set. Fish takes the first set over Tomic. 2-2 in the second set for Davydenko and Anderson. 3-2 Federer, on serve.

9:00 am: 2-2, second set for Fed and Falla.

8:57 am: Gael Monfis up a break on Mayer. Melzer up a break on Brown. 1-1 in the third set for Jesse Levine and Feliciano Lopez.

8:55 am: Yakimova serving for the match, 6-5.

8:54 am: Falla holds 1-1.

8:52 am: Ljubicic is continuing to prove that he is not worth his ranking. He lost the first set to a no-name player, and now is losing in a second set tiebreak.

8:49 am: That was the first time for Fed since 2002. Mardy Fish up 4-1 early. The American, Perry, trying to break to win the match at 5-4. A couple of other men's matches are just starting. Levine rebounds to take second set.

8:47 am: 40-30...set point

8:47 am: 30-30.

8:46 am: Falla looking strong, but down 0-30 in his attempt at winning the set. But now it goes to 15-30.

8:44 am: Kevin Anderson takes the first set from Nikolay Davydenko.

8:43 am: FALLA BREAKS! He will serve for the set!

8:42 am: Brands win the first two sets, both on tiebreaks.

8:41 am: Perry and Yakimova tied 4-4 in the final set.

8:39 am: Falla holds, now 5-5 in the first set. Should a tiebreak occur, who knows what could happen?

8:36 am: Nicolas Massu takes the second set after losing the first. Brands and Andreev in a second set tiebreak, Brands won the first set tiebreak. Fish takes the first game, and Kevin Anderson is one game away from taking the first set from Nikolay Davydenko.

8:34 am: My match of the day, Bernard Tomic vs. Mardy Fish has gotten underway. Falla holds, 4-4.

8:32: Andreev serving for a second set tiebreak. Marion Bartoli wins her match. Carten Ball trying to get his match to a fifth set, tied 2-2 in the fourth.

8:30 am: Falla and Federer 3-3, very good start for Falla.

8:28 am: Nadia Petrova wins, but surprsingly, Kevin Anderson is leading Nikolay Davydenko, up a break.

8:23 am: Falla and Fed are tied 2-2 in the second set.

8:22: Vera Zvonereva takes her first round match over Nuria Llagostera Vives.

8:21: Andreev has come back from 4-1 down in the second set to make it 4-4 after dropping the first set 7-6. Levine and Lopez tied 1-1 in the second set.

8:18: Carsten Ball rebounds to take Berankis to a fourth set. Lopez and Levine are in a wildly long second set, many deuces apiece.

8:17: Clijsters wins here opening round match, 6-0, 6-3, one hour and five minutes.

8:14: Perry and Yakimova going to a final third set. Falla takes his first service game off of Federer, 1-1.

8:11 am: Federer takes game one. Davydenko and Anderson starting on court one. Levine rebounds to take the first game of the second set.

8:09 am: Federer starts his first Wimbledon point with a service winner.

8:04 am: Roger Federer will start in about three minutes. Ljubicic loses the first set, and Bozolijac is one point away from beating Nicolas Massu in the first set.

8:02 am: Well Feliciano Lopez takes the first set. It is always hard to rebound a first set loss if you are trying to create an upset. Another note from around the grounds, Clijisters won the first set in 23 minutes, 6-0, now is tied 3-3 in the second set Camerin.

8:01 am: Chan is a first round winner over Schnyder, wow, that is a surprise. Four set points for Lopez.

8:00 am: Massu and Bozoljic in a tiebreak.

8:00 am: 4-1 Lopez.

7:58 am: Lopez up a mini break in the tiebreak, 2-1.

7:56 am: So Levine and Lopez are going to a tiebreaker. Brands wins his own first set tiebreaker. Things are just getting started at Wimbledon.

7:54 am: Levine will serve to force the tiebreak, Brands and Andreev tied 5-5 in their tiebreak. Berenkis up two sets, Massu and Bozolijac on serve at 6-5 in the first set.

7:50 am: First tiebreak will be Andreev vs. Brands. Lu wins the first, both Levine vs. Lopez, and Ljubicic vs. Przysienzny are tied, 5-5. So a lot of close matches on the men's side.

7:48 am: Levine serving to try and stay in the first set, 5-4.

7:45 am: Yen-Hsun Lu has just taken a break lead over Horacio Zeballos in the first set, 6-5. Daniel Brands is serving to take it to a tiebreak 6-5.

7:41 am: Interesting upset brewing, Ricardas Berankis is beating Carsten ball, one set, and two breaks up. Ball is a big serving lefty, Berankis has never played in a major.

7:39 am: Well, after losing the first set, 6-0, Patty Schnyder wins the first game of the second set.

7:37 am: Jesse Levine, who is playing in one of my featured matches, is playing well, down 4-3, but on serve in the first set. He went to the third round last year here.

7:36 am: So both Yung-Jan Chan and Kim Clijsters win their first sets, 6-0.

7:34 am: Shenay Perry has taken the first set of the tournament. Boy do I love listening to this tournament. The fans in the stands clap as if we are watching golf.

7:33 am: All of the mens matches currently going on are still on serve.

7:30 am: A lot of good matches going on around the grounds. It all started at 7:00. Kim Clijsters up on Camerin. Jesse Levine from the US is holding his own against 22nd ranked Feliciano Lopez. Clijsters up 5-0 in the first set. Federer coming up at 8:00 am.

7:25 am: Well, it is pretty great, All-England Lawn, Wimbledon, doesn't get much better.
