No, I am not picking on just the Minnesota Vikings! This is a series that I am doing for all 32 of the NFL teams, Why Your Team Won't Win The Super Bowl . (Click the link to see the other teams.)

There are SO many reasons as to why people are picking the Minnesota Vikings as potential favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Fantastic defense - CHECK

Great running game - AP - CHECK

Talented receivers - Again, CHECK

Franchise QB - Brett Favre - Probably CHECK

So, how can I, in good conscience, say that the Vikings aren't going to be in the Super Bowl?  Simple, they are the Vikings.

I have a few reasons as to what the problem is. First off, Favre is again taking the off season to decide if he is going to play football again. I think this is a mistake.

I know that Favre has been playing forever, and he knows more about football than most people could dream of.

But, the chemistry of the team is more important than any one person. And the reality is, Favre is probably in his last year, if he even comes back at all.

As I stated in an article on April 1st (not as an April Fools joke), the Vikings should trade for Donovan McNabb.

I believe by NOT trading for McNabb, the Vikings have set their roster back, if not this year, for the next four after this.

The other issues I have are Adrian Peterson, and him missing OTA practices to attend a ceremony in his honor.

Not that I actually have a problem with AP, but my problem lies in a coach that has the nerve to say anyone should be at camp, while he allows Favre to play the game he is playing.

My prediction: Favre will play this year, and it really will be his last. I know people think that the man is immortal, but I honestly believe that he is not going to make it through the entire season healthy.

And, without Favre under center, the Vikings are just an average team.  I think he will last more than half way thru the year, but the Vikings still end up with a record of 9-7, second place in the NFC North.
