Tampa Bay Buccaneer GM Has a Big Fat Penn Controvery
This is not for the record.
Please disregard the following comments that were made by Tampa Bay Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik last week, when he met with some "select" season ticket holder and decided he'd have a nice little question and answer session.
Don't read this. Pay no attention to it, Mark Dominik does not want you to know this.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This is a transcript from a recording made by a local Tampa wag who has a blog called "WhatTheBuc.net ."
He's obviously a season ticket holder as the intimate meeting with Boss Dominik was not intended for media consumption.
Gasp!
Well, lo and behold, this fellow who was identified by the operators of the JoeBucsFan.com blog as a guy who goes by "Old School" decided to tape Dominik's chat with those Buc season ticket holders.
Gasp!
And he didn't bother to tell Boss Dominik that he did it.
Gasp!
And he didn't bother to tell Dominik he'd run it on his website.
Gasp!
So there was no doubt a major eye-roll by new Buccaneer voice-man Jonathan Grella, who was hired from the political arena. Shouldn't Grella have been leary of Boss Dominik making comments he didn't want leaked out?
Grella should know that politicians are under surveillance 24/7 when they make remarks in front of gatherings.
Same goes for NFL execs. (See the drunken Jerry Jones phone video).
Anyway, back to the Verbotten comments.
Please pay no attention to this. IT IS NOT FOR THE RECORD. THE BUCS DO NOT WANT YOU TO READ THIS.
Here's what apparently transpired:
Some astute season ticket holder inquired about Donald Penn and the fact he has not been given a contract extension.
Here's what Dominik had to say about the burly left tackle:
Mark Dominik: "Yeah. I'm really disappointed. When you think about a left tackle and how important that position is especially to a young franchise quarterback. And that guy during the season gained 40 pounds and basically turned his back to nutrition and keeping himself in shape. That's disappointing to me. Rightfully so. I'm just being blatantly honest with you. And I expected better from him...
"This has nothing to do with money from the organization. This has nothing to do with the Glazers and their financial situation."
Goodness, gracious.
Pay no attention to those comments from Dominik, THEY ARE NOT FOR THE RECORD!
JoeBucsFan.com ran them, then took them down at the request of the Buccaneers.
Ouch.
The St. Petersburg Times printed them, as it should.
The Buccaneers aren't going to ban the newspaper from covering the team.
Internet coverage is different. The NFL picks and chooses who it allows which means you better be ESPN.com or Fox.com or CBS.com , you know, those companies that pay HUGE television money.
As for that fellow "Old School," well, back in the day, and we know a little bit about old school journalism, we'd make sure comments were "for the record."
That being said, if Dominik was nuts enough to speak to a bunch of fans and not think his comments would end up in cyberspace, well then perhaps he isn't so smart after all.
What's obvious from all of this is that Dominik has a big fat grudge when it comes to Donald Penn.
A big fat one!
