Czech Karlos Vemola Unbeaten with Seven First-Round KOs Coming into the UFC

At UFC 116, former The Ultimate Fighter contestant Jon Madsen will officially welcome the undefeated Czech heavyweight Karlos “The Terminator” Vemola to the sport’s biggest stage in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Even though scouting reports on Vemola are few and far between at this point in the nascent stages of his career, many analysts in the know believe that the 6'0" Czech has legitimate boxing skills that could potentially give most 265-pounders in the UFC trouble.

Vemola has shown that, much like current UFC Heavyweight Interim Champion Shane Carwin , if his oversized hands connect to his opponent’s face, it is just a matter of time until the punch’s unlucky recipient is unconscious and slapped with an "L" on his record. Of his seven victims inside the ring, no one has lasted longer than three minutes and 14 seconds.

Despite the fact that “The Terminator” won’t give up a very noticeable size advantage to most of the UFC’s heavyweights, many are skeptical that the 245-pound Vemola’s less-than-intimidating wrestling prowess can match the dominating grappling skills of the division’s elite competitors.

In a division run primarily by fighters with imposing ground games, Vemola will need to improve upon his alleged substandard wrestling ability if he intends to one day become a champion inside the Octagon.

Although the Prague, Czech Republic, native’s signing with the UFC went unbeknownst to most in the world of mixed martial arts, there is very little doubt that Vemola will leave a mark on fight fans in the future, be it either for his pitbull-esque fighting style or his in-your-face, abrasive personality.

If Vemola, 25, can prove victorious over the ground-and-pound specialist Madsen in the future, fans and competitors alike will take note: The UFC’s first Czech fighter is a force to be reckoned with.
