The Impact of Daniel Bryan's Release

Ian MaloneJun 13, 2010

A magical thing happened last Monday night.

For a mere ten minutes we saw the birth of a real story.

The WWE we all knew and loved came back.

Just as quickly as it came it was gone again.

We don't know if Danielson is really gone from WWE.

Most of the experts at the various pro wrestling websites seem to think so. Even 'ol JR said so.

Just like that, one of the most promising story lines in recent years is gone.

Sure there will be a follow up but we all know that Danielson was the most promising and most talented of the NXT bunch.

This story won't be the same without him.

Cena and the pros will get their way and then they can dance around with Hornswoggle.

This is wrestling people.

I really thought that Danielson would be the saving grace of the WWE.

He's one of the best wrestlers on the planet and if his first match with Chris Jericho showed us anything, it was that great things were to come.

Unfortunately Danielson forgot the PG way and paid the price.

Justin Roberts will get a new tie and Danielson will get a new job.

Shawn Michaels was smart to retire when he did.

I bet he was sick of playing along with the degenerated DX.

Most of the legends had left the building.

HBK was smart to follow.

TNA isn't any better.

Sting vs. Rob Van Dam in a match that the fans "supposedly" chose. No thanks.

This PPV could be good but I won't be watching. I don't really want to give them my money to watch matches that they will probably show for free next week.

The hype has been terrible and I don't see any reason why I should order Slammiversary.

Maybe I'm being a little pessimistic.

Perhaps I'm wrong about the story line.

Maybe Bryan will resurface in the near future.

We don't know.

Pro wrestling is in a new era.

WWE doesn't care about it's older fans which has me asking, why are we still here?
