Dustin H.Jun 12, 2010

Joey Logano made history on Saturday night in the Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky. Logano won the pole for the third time in a row and scored the victory holding off Carl Edwards in the final laps after several late race cautions. Brad Keselowski remains the points leader he finished third followed by Brendan Gaughan and Reed Sorenson in the top 5.

The night started with crashes with Brian Scott getting into the wall early and spun again a few laps later. Brian Ickler also made contact with the wall and Brad Coleman had a great run going and lead early cut down a right front tire. Tayler Malsam had a hard crash ending his night. Within the last 50 laps of the race Michael Annett, Paul Menard and Jason Leffler were all involved in a late race crash in turn one causing heavy damage to all three. Mike Bliss also was in position to win only to have his night end late with a crash on a restart in the closing laps.
