Barca To Get Fab During the World Cup

Barcelona's hot pursuit of Cesc Fabregas is no secret to the world of football. Even Spanish players who play for Barcelona have confirmed that they are trying to convince Cesc to come to the Nou Camp.

A bid, which is currently unknown, has already been turned down by a resilient Arsenal who are determined to keep hold of their captain. Arsene Wenger has again said that Fabregas is not for sale.

However prior to the start of the World Cup, a few reports stated that Arsenal were asking for a fee around £80 million. Yaya Toure's agent has publicly claimed that his player may well be involved in the deal.

However of late, Sky Sports reported that Yaya Toure's agent has claimed that Barcelona are pricing the midfielder out of a move to England. It can only be assumed that some talks with English clubs have already taken place. Other reports claimed that Toure has already signed for an English club but the identity will not be revealed.

All these talks contribute to the confusion surrounding the Fabregas deal. The player himself has stated his desire to move but only if Arsenal are willing to sell. Now the asking price was at first too much but now a new twist has emerged.

Sky Sports News have reported today that the Barcelona President is confident a deal for Fabregas will be struck during the World Cup. If this report is true, then one can only believe that the two clubs are in talks and are mulling over the fee for a great player!

Despite Arsene Wenger's comments, the manager will never stand in the way of a player who wants out of the club; history proves this. Vieira and Henry was the same but they left for much less and were, arguably, past their best.

This is a different scenario and if the fee is right, Arsenal will sell. Every player has a price!
