Why Bryan "Daniel Bryan" Danielson's WWE Release Is a Mistake
For the last two days I have been celebrating my hometown heroes, The Chicago Blackhawks, finally winning the Stanley Cup after a 49— year slump. Needless to say I have not been reading any wrestling news the past few days.
Naturally I tried to play catch up this morning, and what do I find plastered all over every wrestling site? The headline "Bryan Danielson is gone from WWE".
I was shocked to say the least, but since wrestling news is often wrong, I decided to check some other sources, and sure enough everyone is reporting that the firing is legit and not a work.

Apparently the reason for the firing was something to do with Bryan using Justin Robert's tie to choke him out during the NXT invasion on Monday Night Raw.
There are stipulations in place as to what WWE finds acceptable for their PG programming and choking someone is seen as too violent.
The invasion angle has received a lot of positive reaction from fans and WWE officials for appearing to be very realistic. Some sites are reporting that no one but a select few people even knew about the angle prior to Monday night.
Now, maybe this is just me, but I think WWE is making a big mistake by letting Danielson go. First of all, choking someone with a tie is much less violent than hitting someone with a sledgehammer. Secondly, Bryan was the best worker in the ring to come out of NXT.
Some people, even talent within the WWE, feel that this firing is a work in order to re-introduce Daniel Bryan as Bryan Danielson, while others are saying the release is very real.
I for one hope this is indeed a work and that an angle becomes apparent sometime soon, but if its not, I hope Danielson ends up in TNA since I love seeing him on TV.
A feud between Desmond Wolfe and Bryan Danielson would be great since the two had many many battle in Ring of Honor, but most TV wrestling fans have never seen the two square off.
The release also comes as a surprise due to the fact that Miz and Bryan have an ongoing feud. If Miz addresses this at all on TV then I am pretty sure it is an angle, but if nothing is said then it is most likely legit
Heres to hoping that this is all an angle and we see Bryan again soon.
