Take My Word: John Morrison Will Never Win The World Title

Hows your summer been B/R? This is the third article in my "Take my Word" series, and I have a feeling this one will easily be the most controversial. The reason? Because I am going to crush alot of fan's hopes in this article. Yes, I believe John Morrison, the Monday Night Delight, the Shaman of Sexy, will not succeed in the WWE.

Morrison has been at times the most beloved man in the IWC, but also been constantly bashed. So, I am going to show why his cons will devour his pros and lead to his downfall.

Wrestling and Mic Skills

Many fans say that he is one of the best wrestlers, highflyers, and overall workers in the WWE. Yes, I cannot even argue that he is a bad wrestler, but that only gets you so far in the company. Just ask Shelton Benjamin.

Next to his wrestling ability, he has poor, poor mic skills. Yes, he was great at talking as a heel, but how can he be a heel if he sucks at wrestling as a heel. His entire arsenal of moves involves high flying, and without that his wrestling will suffer. So either way he goes, there is going to be a major downfall to his character.

Gimmick

Working ability aside, lets look at Mr. Morrison's gimmick. He has been through two gimmicks in his stint as a WWE wrestler, the second one being a cool, modern, and yet "hippie"-like persona.

This is solely my opinion, but I can't stand it. Don't get me wrong, it works for guys like Jay Lethal, but look at Morrison. He has a f'ing 12 pack, a built body, and a face that stands out from the crowd, but not in a weird way(such as Sheamus). The WWE seriously couldn't think of a cool and awesome gimmick for this guy? Sure, he can be Intercontinental champ with this gimmick, but he can't have that laid back and relaxed gimmick as a world champion, who should be the face of a company. And in this PG era, the last thing Vince would want to do is get into lawsuits because the "good guy champion" on his brand is careless and it influenced their kids.

How the WWE is pushing him

This is the one factor that I think will initiate his demise. Think about it. He has been through two gimmicks, a serious push in late 2009, the ECW Championship, and multiple WHC title matches, but is now just a supporter in a feud between the Miz and R-Truth. Oh yeah, speaking of the Miz, when the tag team of Miz and Morrison split up, everyone thought that John would be pushed to the main event, and leave Miz to be released. But then, the Miz became tag team and US champion simultaneously, while Morrison was depushed and made as just a low mid-card act. So yes, I believe Vinny Mac has given up hope.
