TNA Wrestling Slammiversary 2010: The Predictions
This Sunday, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling presents their annual Slammiversary pay-per-view live from the Impact Zone! in Orlando, Florida.
Here are my predictions on the outcome of the matches.
Let's begin with matches with no titles on the line.
The first one that has caught my attention is Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson teaming together against Beer Money.
I have a gut feeling that Mr. Anderson will remain a baby face, but with his character it is extremely unpredictable. It should be a very interesting and exciting match.
My prediction on this one is that Hardy and Mr. Anderson will be the winners.
Next up is Kurt Angle versus Kazarian.
Just this last TNA Impact!, Kazarian turned heel associating with Ric Flair. Angle, who is starting from the bottom, is my prediction to win this one. Also, watch out for Flair, as a new storyline may be forming with Kurt Angle after last week’s Impact! confrontation.
AJ Styles versus Jay Lethal should be a high flying, entertaining match up. Though Lethal is getting a strong push, I see Styles winning this one. I could almost believe that AJ will turn baby face in a short time.
Jesse Neal versus Brother Ray doesn’t interest me much, as I was really never into the story line that was presented. I see Neal with his hand up as the winner in a decent match.
Just recently added was Abyss against Desmond Wolfe. I do not see TNA extending Abyss's push and have a feeling Wolfe will be the winner.
Now, let's turn the focus to titles on the line.
The Knockouts title match will be Madison Rayne versus Roxxi. Roxxi, who has made a few appearances in her comeback, has performed nicely but I am predicting Rayne will retain her title.
In my view, Roxxi hasn’t made a huge impact on the division to win the championship.
In the tag team section, The Band (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) will square off against Matt Morgan and his surprise partner.
I cannot see The Band retain their titles, but I never expected them to touch the belts even if they were a strong unit. Morgan and his surprise partner will win this one. This match could get messy.
The X-Division title against Douglas Williams and Brian Kendrick should be a good one. As much as I enjoy watching Kendrick wrestle, Williams should get the win.
And finally, the TNA World title match between Rob Van Dam versus Sting should be a decent main event.
RVD, in my opinion, is the clear winner on this match up. It is good to see Sting in a different light, as I felt his heel turn was a good decision since the March 8 live Monday Night Impact!
In TNA, anything could happen, even if RVD appears to be the heavy favorite to win.
Enjoy this week’s TNA Impact! and Slammiversary!
