Leicestershire and Northamptonshire picked up wins in the latest round of Division Two fixtures before the County Championship moves aside for Twenty20 Cricket.

Glamorgan stays on top with 126 points, to go along with five wins, one draw, and two defeats.

Gloucestershire is third with 101 points, after four wins, one draw, and three defeats.

Worcestershire is fifth with 99 points, after three wins, three draws, and one defeat.

Onto some game recaps:

Sussex-Derbyshire

Sussex is second with 112 points, with four wins, two draws, and two defeats after a draw at Derbyshire. Derbyshire is seventh with 79 points, to go along with two wins, two draws, and four defeats.

Sussex made 429 in their first innings, thanks to Murray Goodwin (121) and Robin Martin-Jenkins (130) making centuries and 55 extras.

Derbyshire replied with 337. Chris Rogers was the top scorer with 79 and Luke Wright picked up 5-65.

The away side slumped to 71-7 as Robin Peterson took 4-10 before no play was possible on the final day due to rain.

Northamptonshire-Middlesex

Northamptonshire is fourth with 99 points, with four wins, one draw, and three defeats after a nine-wicket win at Middlesex. Middlesex is eighth with 79 points, with two wins, two draws, and five defeats.

Batting first, the home side posted 347 as Gareth Berg hit 83, while Chaminda Vaas took 4-49.

Northamptonshire piled on 581-7 with three centurions. Stephen Peters was the highest scorer with 199.

The home side managed 285 in its second innings thanks to Owais Shah's 77, but Andrew Hall took 4-44, leaving the visitors needing only 52 to win.

Northamptonshire knocked off the runs for the loss of only one wicket to claim the victory.

Leicestershire-Surrey

Leicestershire is sixth with 89 points, after three wins, one draw, and four defeats following a thrashing of bottom-side Surrey. Surrey is last with 63 points, after one win, three draws, and four defeats.

The away side piled on 489 thanks to Will Jefferson's 135, despite Jade Dernbach's 5-87.

Surrey managed 236 the first time around as Steve Davies top scored with 69, but he fell to Claude Henderson, who took 6-84.

Following on, Surrey could only make 183 despite some late resistance and Younis Khan (77 not out) was left stranded as Jigar Niak ripped through the lineup with 7-96.

Leicestershire claimed the win by an innings and 60 runs.

The County Championship takes a break for Twenty20 until June 28, when Gloucestershire hosts Middlesex, Worcestershire faces Leicestershire, and Derbyshire plays Surrey.
