Take My Word: The WWE Is Finally Listening to The IWC

john stantonJun 5, 2010

What is up my fellow B/R members. This is the 3rd edition of my "Take My Word" series, and this is going to be a big one too. Why is this big? Because I have been noticing something unusual for the last couple of months, and am now sure that it is real.

Vince Mcmahon and the boys at the WWE are finally trying to please the IWC by giving us what "we," not the little kids, want.

The probable reason on why they are trying to please us, is to bring their ratings back up, since they have been trying everything "PG," and as a result, their ratings are beginning to drop. We are a small portion of WWE fans, but large enough to bring WWE's ratings to a 4.0, which is what they are striving for.

Anyways, lets get to the examples.

1. Pushing Younger Stars

Yes, they have been trying to do this for a while, but until the past months, they haven't been giving these young talents the ball yet, which will only then push them to main event status. Stars like Jack Swagger, Ted Dibiase, Drew Mcintyre, and Kofi Kingston, who are given so much spotlight, will get their groove, so they will be able to take the reigns of the WWE in the next couple of years. Also, they listened to the praise we have given Evan Bourne, and are attempting to make him a star,

2. Adding "Attitude" and "Unpredictability" into the Pg Era.

Some may disagree with this, but you can't hide the fact that the last couple of Raw's have had the unpredictability and craziness that we have been asking for quite a while. Think about it, Bryan Danielson's feud with Michael Cole, Evan Bourne coming out of nowhere to becoming pushed, etc. There is so much that leaves me wanting to watch next week's Raw or Smackdown, and it seems that the crowd is getting more wild as weeks go on, which is a great sign.

3. Recreating the Tag Team Division

This one is undeniable. You cannot deny that the WWE has listened to the IWC on this one, because they have done so much to bring this division back in the last month. First, they gave the titles to a legit tag team in the Hart Dynasty, not two put-together stars. Second, they got more legit tag teams to feud with, such as the Uso's and Jericho/Miz, and on Smackdown, Vance Archer and Kurt Hawkins, as well as the developing Dudebusters. I see great things in the future if WWE keeps this up.

4. Giving Raw A General Manager

Do I really need to explain this one. Bret Hart was the perfect candidate, and even if we got someone that sucked, I would still have it over the guest hosts. Plus, I loved when Randy Orton RKO'd the GMs week after week.

5. Making the right choices on NXT

I will tell you the truth. After Daniel Bryan was eliminated on NXT, I gave up on it. I knew the WWE would screw us with a pointless winner that little kids enjoy, and release all the real talent. Boy was I wrong. Not only did they turn that elimination of Bryan into a great storyline, but let my favorite from day 1, Wade Barrett, become the champion. And I am looking forward to season 2, simply because all the guys there are even more interesting than the ones from season 1. And with great picks, the WWE is making their future star search so much simpler.

6. Finally Pushing Kane

How long have we asked for mister Kane, the freaking Undertaker's Brother, to stop being a pointless jobber. It went to the point where he was no longer scary anymore. But as of last Friday, that is no longer. They did the best thing possible out of the Undertaker's non-kayfabe injury, and turned it into the first real storyline for Kane in over three years. And as we predicted, he didn't disappoint. Ladies and Gentleman, let me please introduce the return of the Big Red Machine.

Overall, I think this is plenty of reason to beleive the WWE is listening to us here at the IWC. So I beleive the more we suggest and lean towards a certain thing in the WWE, it would not be suprising if we would later see it on Raw.

That was my words guys, now lets hear yours.
