We're Baaaack.....

SpartyMSU has been on extended business trips to the Far East, Europe, and Detroit.... The real job has not allowed time for posting.. but, we’re back, and expect to be back for the remainder of the year… Or so we think....

Another poster/SpartyMSU regular writer would be great, if the right guy volunteered… Taking applications now….  Poster must be a fit for our Blog / Style and Beer soaked philosophy…

Found this interesting… where the Sporting News places the Big Ten teams nationally… Only issue I have is that based upon the Spartan's growth, experience, and talent this year, I expect the Spartans should be around 27 – 32, rather than 50th.  Other than that.. ok, everyone's got an opinion....  We will get in to the SpartyMSU forecast for the Twenty Ten Spartans in a month... so we'll leave it at that...

Spring Ball: SpartyMSU was there.. and had a couple conclusions..
1) Joe Boisture is a tall drink of water, The kid has huge upside, but needs much more beef on his bones…. But, his accuracy was good, I believe with practice and time, he will be a significant asset for the Spartans.
2) The Defense look much more together than last year’s spring game..
3) Maxwell has some learning to do. He looks like a good QB, but he seems ed to be slow on the reads and release. Kirk Cousins was much quicker and more accurate, in my opinion.
4) Maxwell did have some sweet passes, or possibly great catches from Charlie Gantt and Keshawn. Not sure where to put the emphasis, thinks its better catching than throwing at this point form Maxwell.
5) Cousins looked crisp.  He’s a Junior this year, and will continue to improve. Is Maxwell the right backup? Not sure. With Nichol playing receiver, maybe he’s gaining some insight to be a better back up QB, and get playing time while Cousins is behind center.
6) 30,000 faithful found our way to the Stadium to enjoy Spring ball… Stormy weather be dammed….

SpartyMSU Annual Football Conference will be held June 26 in East Lansing… Preparation and assignments are being handed out this week to those registered participants.
