The Philadelphia Flyers won at home, again.

I waited until the horn sounded and I knew we drew first blood to walk into the family room.

However, once there was only a one goal lead, I told Jeff I had to leave the room to save the game.

I hit the potty and the Flyers hit an empty net goal!

Toilets flushing, Jeff screaming and horns blaring...welcome to my world.

At least no one can argue that my sixth sense does not kick in when it is time to say adios!  I actually watched all but four minutes of the game when the "eeky" feeling came over me.

It was an interesting game.

The goal tending on the part of both teams was outstanding.

The Flyers played a more conservative game than I would have liked.

The first period was their best so I relaxed to watch on the 63" TV waiting for a really good fight. Chicago scored the first penalty, I was very confident that I was going to watch an entire game.

They left the ice three to one at the end of the first intermission. I was feeling like queen of the virtual ice.

Their usually hot second period was scoreless. It was the equivalent of a pitcher's dual. (I was watching the Phillies during commercials and breaks).

Leighton is now one of the "Big Boys."  My seven seed team was looking good and I was still patiently waiting for a free for all. The Flyers had very few penalties but were in defense mode throughout. I debated about leaving during the second but just could not.

Speaking of pitchers...we switched to the Phillies during the period breaks.

Halladay was looking good but the best was seeing Lidge strike out the Padres, uno, dos, tres! Perhaps Brad is back. Nice win for the Phils. Oh to be in South Philly tonight!

Third period we scored and it was four to one Flyers.

I was still waiting for some extra physical fun (does unsportsmanlike conduct count?)!  Then it was 4 to 2 and then 4 to 3. Time to leave the TV and save the day. I miss watching entire games. I hate when one of my teams lose so I get out of viewing distance, marginally within ear shot and pretend indifference so the hockey gods will be kind.

This is far from over—it is a best two out of three series beginning Sunday night.

Go Flyers...hope I get to see a complete game!

Kudos to Mike Richards, Matt Carle, Claude Giroux, Ville Leino and Jeff Carter who scored for the Flyers to provide the offense and Michael Leighton in goal as the Flyers did their job and won both games at home.

All I can say is Shoot----------------->Score and hold my breath for the remainder of the ride!
