Ricky Don't Lose That Number: -13 Fowler Leads the Memorial Halfway

Thomas MorelandJun 4, 2010

Ricky Fowler leads the Memorial after two days with a very nice round at 13 under.

His closest competitor is Tim Petrovic at minus nine, four shots behind already.

Phil Mickelson is out on the course, currently at minus six, and has some catching up to do.

Justin Rose is still also playing, and is one shot ahead of Mickelson at minus seven.

Fowler has gone low in several tournaments, just not four days in a row yet. One real good round by Fowler now, on Saturday or Sunday, and he will be most difficult to catch.

Pin placement on the weekends will be more unforgiving, so let's see if he can shoot another 66 or 67. One more of these and this event is his for the taking.

Tiger Woods lurks behind at minus three, and will need to pack and travel up the leader board on Saturday for a chance to defend his trophy on Sunday.

My fantasy team of Woods, Holmes, Choi, and Kuchar are doing swell. J.B. Holmes will be replaced in rounds three and four by Adam Scott, his backup.

Holmes is at minus two for the tournament, but shot only 74 on Friday.

Scott, on the other hand, fired another 70 and minus two, two days in a row, for a four-under total. I like the consistency going there.

Woods is minus three, Choi is minus six, and Kuchar minus five.

I have now stunned the golfing world by passing all the Yahoo! experts in points and position for the season.

Who knows what giant pinnacles I will reach next!
