Here is the latest news and rumors from across the NHL this afternoon.

Rumor has it that the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres are among the list of teams that have contacted GM Brian Burke about the services of Tomas Kaberle.

Senators forward Jason Spezza is not happy with the way Senators fans have treated him since they were eliminated in the playoffs, and may have requested a trade. It is believed that the Blue Jackets and Oilers are interested in his services, regardless if he is on the block or not.

According to multiple insiders around the NHL, the Washington Capitals may pursue goaltender Evgeni Nabokov come July 1st, which means barring a trade they would not be able to afford Anton Volchenkov.

It is rumored that Steve Yzerman is interested in hiring Guy Boucher for the vacant head coach position on the Lightning.

Ilya Kovalchuk has reportedly told the Devils that he will test the free agency July 1st, as he wants to see all of his options. However, he said re-signing with New Jersey is still not out of the question.

Paul Martin has reportedly told the Devils that he will not even discuss re-signing with the team until they hire a new head coach. The Devils have said they will take their time finding a new head coach which would lead many to believe that Paul Martin will not be a New Jersey Devil next season.
