Week 10 Arena Football League Power Poll – June 2nd 2010
The AFL betting season enters its tenth week of play this week with a full slate of games. Check out how we’re ranking the clubs through the first nine weeks of the season!
1: Milwaukee Iron (6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS) (LW: 3) – The Iron bounced back from that defeat in Orlando to crush Dallas on Saturday night. Even though there are four teams with 6-2 records in the AFL, we give Milwaukee the nod right now because of the fact that it has two wins against those four teams. AFL betting fans should be aware that this Iron team is still red hot.
Up Next: Away @ Arizona
2: Spokane Shock (6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS) (LW: 3) – Home field advantage in Spokane proved to once again be the difference in a 67-57 win over Jacksonville on Saturday night. However, it’s the road that has been kind to the Shock this year, as they are still undefeated away from home. The bye week precedes a trip to the Sunshine State.
Up Next: Bye
3: Jacksonville Sharks (6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS) (LW: 1) – It was very predictable for the Sharks to go into Spokane and to come out with another ‘L’, but HC Les Moss and the crew shouldn’t have anything to worry about. The Sharks are still the top team in the Southern Division by a country mile.
Up Next: Away @ Chicago
4: Chicago Rush (6-2 SU, 4-3-1 ATS) (LW: 4) – In what amounted to be a prototypical AFL game where the last score won, the Rush toppled the Gladiators to put further separation between themselves (and Milwaukee) and the field in the conference. A victory against Jacksonville would go a long way towards bringing the boys in the Windy City all the way up to #1 in the AFL Power Poll this week.
Up Next: Home vs. Jacksonville
5: Tampa Bay Storm (4-3 SU, 2-5 ATS) (LW: 6) – Even though HC Tim Marcum probably wants to fire his special teams coach for allowing the Predators to recover two onside kicks, Tampa Bay’s victory against its hated rivals was never really in doubt last week. In theory, this week should be a gimme with the Yard Dawgz coming to town.
Up Next: Home vs. Oklahoma City
6: Arizona Rattlers (4-3 SU, 4-3 ATS) (LW: 8 ) – The Rattlers are very quietly one of the seven teams in the AFL that are above .500 at this point. However, in order to get into the elite status of the league, it’s going to require a victory against one of the top teams. That’s exactly what opportunity arises in this, the first of three straight home games this week.
Up Next: Home vs. Milwaukee
And the rest…
7: Tulsa Talons (5-3 SU, 6-2 ATS) (LW: 5)
8: Alabama Vipers (4-4 SU, 4-4 ATS) (LW: 7)
9: Iowa Barnstormers (3-4 SU, 3-4 ATS) (LW: 11)
10: Orlando Predators (3-4 SU, 3-4 ATS) (LW: 10)
11: Cleveland Gladiators (3-5 SU, 5-3 ATS) (LW: 9)
12: Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (3-5 SU, 4-4 ATS) (LW: 12)
13: Bossier City Battle Wings (2-6 SU, 5-3 ATS) (LW: 13)
14: Dallas Vigilantes (1-6 SU, 1-6 ATS) (LW: 14)
15: Utah Blaze (1-6 SU, 2-5 ATS) (LW: 15)
