Wade Barrett Wins WWE NXT, Matt Morgan Acting, Evan Bourne's Push
Last night on the season finale of WWE's first season of NXT we saw a winner crowned. Wade Barrett won the competition in what was a pretty solid competition.
In the beginning everyone in the IWC thought Daniel Bryan was a lock to win the whole thing, but once his losing streak started to escalate, it was clear WWE had different plans for Bryan.
Wade Barrett at first just looked like any other big guy. He was cocky, dominant in the ring and had the right look for WWE. But soon he started to stand out from the rest. After winning the promo contest about wind, Barrett became the front runner.
Last night not only did Wade pick up a win over his fellow rookies, but he won the whole competition. I see big things in the future for Wade Barrett. I hope WWE doesn't squander his talent like they have in the past.
In other news, Matt Morgan has been bitten by the acting bug. On his twitter account he announced that he is filming an episode for the new FOX show "The Good Guys" which stars Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford.
Morgan also noted that after he is done filming for the show, he will star in a movie alongside Kurt Angle.
Morgan made sure to let his fans know he would not be missing any TV time due to these obligations.
Evan Bourne appears to be getting a new push on Raw after this week's show.
Bourne was featured in the opening segment of the show squaring off against Edge in what was a confusing segment to viewers at home.
The incident began off camera before the show began airing, Edge had come to the ring and Evan Bourne followed. They had some words, and began fighting, which is where the cameras started rolling.
Later on in the evening John Cena was left without a partner for his tag team match after Edge had dispatched Orton by hurting his already injured shoulder.
Cena came out and said he could have picked anyone to be his partner since everyone in the back hates Edge and Sheamus, but who did he pick? Evan Bourne.
Evan got a huge pop when he came out. Throughout the match Evan held his own against the two much larger opponents, and in the end it was Bourne who scored the pinfall with his trademark Shooting Star Splash.
Bourne could be getting groomed for a push here since he has been more of a jobber than anything else for the past few months. It's nice to see WWE giving the spotlight to someone smaller other than Mysterio.
That's all for now folks, feel free to share your thoughts and thanks for reading.
