Jack Swagger Was Not Ready to Be Pushed.

Before you guys read this full article, I want you to know that I have always wanted Swagger to win the WHC ever since he left ECW, because I knew he could be a second coming of Kurt Angle. Many people have been talking and talking about how he is a horrible champion because of how WWE books him and how he cant beat a main eventer. Blah BLah Blah.

I finally found the one thing that is truly stopping him from being a champion on the Kurt Angle level, and that would be he was developed way to soon to get the title. Sound familiar?

No, the lack of development has nothing to do with how he deals with his speech impediment, or how he wrestles, or how he cuts any type of promo. He does those pretty damn well compared to other guys on the roster.

The one thing that holding swagger back is that he doesn't know what the hell he is supposed to be in terms of his gimmick to generate heat. One week I see him serious and emotionless, the next week I see him bragging about his trophies, and the week after that he is back repeating that all-american-american catchphrase that he used months ago.

Problems like this are supposed to be dealt with before you recieve a main-event title. Think back at the Rock, who had to switch from a babyface, to a boring heel, and then to a heel that was able to steal the crowd every night. And once he got that down, he stuck with it and moved up to main event level. The company didn't just give him the WWF title when he was Rocky Maivia, and let him progress as a champion.

The point of a main-eventer with a top-tier title is a person who has shown that they are the real deal, and can carry a crowd with an attitude that the fans are familiar with. A main eventer can't change it up, he should already know how to generate as much heat as possible.

Now that the problem is stated, lets see how the WWE can fix it.

1. Let him lose to either the Big show or Punk at Fatal Four Way.

2. Get Swagger into a feud with the Undertaker, a huge fan favorite as well as a super-credible opponent, and there he will find a gimmick that will truly give him heat and stick with him.

3. Get him back into the main event picture.

This process might seem tough, but if the WWE can execute it properly, it can be done by the End of Fall of this year.
