Humor: Brutus Beefcake Leads TNA Fan Rankings

Ian MaloneMay 28, 2010

Things haven't exactly been hot for TNA Wrestling lately, and Eric Bischoff decided that there needed to be a change.

Sure, Rob Van Dam is a big star, but is a former ECW legend really the kind of guy to take TNA to the next level?

No.  He's not.

Could Sting really be the one to beat the WWE?

Not likely—Sting had his shot.

We need someone the fans know and love.

Hulk Hogan? No that would look to conceited. Vince Russo tried that once in the WCW days.

It didn't work too well.

Scott Hall? Nope, the only things Scott Hall is going to lead in TNA is the BAC rankings.

Ric Flair? Too predictable, plus we need to showcase Flair on TV, we can't use him for PPVs.

What about one of those young guys?

The fans seem to be high up on that Desmond Wolfe kid. I don't know what they see in him he wasn't around during the Monday Night Wars. The fans don't know what they're talking about.

Ol' Beefcake gives us a champion that the fans can recognize. We already have his old manager Jimmy Hart on staff, it's destiny! Will he have trouble getting in the ring? Why do you think we put that ramp in?

We'll just slip him into that nifty ranking system and no one will notice. Too bad he doesn't have one of those nice WWE Hall of Fame rings—oh well we can make a different story line.

Will Robby be angry about doing the job to an older star? Maybe but this is for the fans, brother.
