Montoya Leads Coke 600 Practice From Charlotte

Juan Pablo Montoya in the #42 Target Chevrolet for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing was fastest in Sprint Cup Practice for the Coca Cola 600 this Sunday at Charlotte. Montoya ran a 29.24 at 184.679 mph early in practice and he stayed there for the rest of the practice. Juan is still searching for the his first oval win in Nascar, his last win coming in 2007 at Sonoma on the road course. Carl Edwards crashed in turn 3 in his #99 Ford as he seemed to have a tire go down, they will be going to a backup car and Mike Bliss also crashed in turn 3 in the practice that was 90 minutes.

Qualifying for the Coke 600 is at 7pm Thursday night on Speed. Friday is a quiet day at the track and the action resumes on Saturday.
