8 Ways to Win English NFL Fans.
So the NFL wants more UK fans. Here are a few suggestions that are sure to win the hearts and minds of any UK person.
1.) Open the game with Professor Dumbledore doing the coin toss. Although he is a wizard and some people may feel that the coin toss could be fixed, seeing him standing on the field with the teams would give the British person a sense of familiarity and entice them into the game.
2.) Serve tea and biscuits during half-time. Serve them in the stadium and have Tea commercials in the breaks.

3.) Bring some UK influence into the Stadium Decor. I suggest bringing in some english telephone boxes, large cut-outs of fish & chips and some teacup hats for the cheerleaders.
4.) Talking of the cheerleaders, it would be good to get them to do some Shakespeare when there is a Touchdown and in the intervals. A medley of all 37 plays might be too much, but a medley of the best 12 might work really well. It is possible that they could be done as musical interpretations, although maybe they could shout out some of the main lines. ” Wherefore art thou Touchdown?” ” Is this a football I see before me”
5.) Have Kermit and Miss Piggy commentating the game. Everyone loved The Muppets in Britain and the NFL would get a big following from using those two stars. Fozzy Bear could interview players on the sideline and Statler and Waldorf, the two old men, could sit and throw popcorn from the balcony. This would give people familiar faces and also an opportunity to explain the game in very simple terms to the many British who have no idea what is going on.
6.) Have subliminal ” We hate Hitler” ads. Everyone in England shares that point of view and it would instill camaraderie.
7.) Have a collectors NFL teapot.
8.) Get the Lingerie Football girls to play a few pre-season games against the guys. This will probably up the ratings for the US viewers too.
