Philadelphia Eagles: In Kevin Kolb We Trust

The Donovan McNabb era is over in Philadelphia.   

The blockbuster decision to trade Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins, a division rival of the Philadelphia Eagles, officially ended Donovan McNabb's time as the franchise quarterback for the city of Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost their all-time leader in career wins, pass attempts, pass completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns.  On paper, it looks like the Philadelphia Eagles are in trouble, right? 

Wrong. Philadelphia Eagle fans have something to be confident about in their new franchise quarterback: Kevin Kolb. 

Drafted out of the University of Houston, Kolb has been given the chance to be the man under center in Philadelphia and bring the elusive Superbowl title to a championship hungry city. 

However, this opportunity for Kolb does not come without high expectations and a fan base that will show no mercy for Kolb if those expectations are not met.  The city of Philadelphia wants a Superbowl, and it is Kolb's job now to handle the pressure of playing for one of the most passionate fan bases in all of sports.

If there is anyone who is ready for this challenge, it is Kevin Kolb.  The Philadelphia Eagles organization has tremendous faith in Kolb and believes he is mature enough to handle the pressure.

Kolb is the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 yards in each of his first two career starts.  This is an impressive feat, and many people have failed to give Kolb the credit he deserves.  It might not have been for an entire season, but Kolb showed the flare and talent needed to be a big star in the NFL as well as the maturity to handle the pressure that comes with it.

With Kevin Kolb, the Philadelphia Eagles will be one of the youngest and most prolific offenses in the NFL.  The Kevin Kolb era will be an illustrious one, and it is time Philadelphia Eagle fans believe in their new franchise quarterback.
