Breaking News: Booker T. Returns to TNA
Numerous professional wrestling websites such as pwtorch.com and wrestlingnewsworld.com are reporting that former World Heavyweight Champion Booker T. replaced A.J. Styles in the main event of the house show in Lake Charles, Louisiana on May 21. Styles was unable to make the show and Booker T. was a last minute replacement. He faced TNA Champion Rob Van Dam in a losing effort.
As most of you probably remember, Booker T. did not leave TNA under friendly terms. He was frequently cited as a poor locker room presence and made frequent boasts about how he could return to WWE whenever he wanted. Another incident involved his refusal to take the job to Matt Morgan, who at the time was even less over than he is now.

Rumors had the WWE interested in Booker, but only if he was to maintain a full schedule. At age 45 this was something he was not interested in, and WWE did not feel that he was important enough to appear as a part-time wrestler, similar to Undertaker and Shawn Michaels in their later years.
WWE refused this similar schedule to Jeff Hardy and RVD which was a major factor in their signing with TNA. Now that WWE is not a destination for Booker T, will he try to come back to TNA?
Hulk Hogan loves old stars and Booker T. is a six-time world champion. It's not exactly shocking that he would be interested in Booker's services for TNA.
The main event scene is pretty crowded and the fans have not exactly responded well to time being taken away from the Knockouts and X Division and given to The Band. Booker T. is just another old star who's best days are long behind him and we have plenty of those in the Impact Zone.
Roster cuts are coming to TNA and there could be as many as 20 stars cut from the roster. I would really hate to see a young wrestler cut so that Booker T. can re-form the Main Event Mafia.
Booker T. made the decision to leave TNA before he could secure a deal with WWE and before Hogan made his debut in TNA. It was nice of him to help his old employer out at the house show but please don't try to come back. We've moved on without you.
What do you think? Do you want Booker T. back even if it meant other wrestlers were cut?
