The Best XI From The Premierships Relegated Trio

Bobby ChewMay 22, 2010

Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth faces the prospect of having to sell their best players now that relegation is upon them. Pompey and Hull, in particular, are facing financial problems and therefore will need to sell players to survive. There are some pretty interesting players worth picking up, notably from Portsmouth. Newspaper reports are linking Kevin Prince Boateng with West Ham after his outstanding performances in the FA Cup especially. I have put together a Best XI from clubs in the bottom three.

LM Stephen Hunt

ST Steven Fletcher

ST Frederic Piquionne

All through the season, we have seen West Ham suffer from quality in three areas: fullbacks, wingers, strikers. Of the Best XI above, Anthony Vanden Borre, Nadir Belhadj, Steven Fletcher and Frederic Piquionne will certainly add pace and power to an alarmingly thin West Ham squad.

Add to that a top manager like Avram Grant who can get the best out of the players and West Ham can look forward to a top half finish next season.
