Players Acting out Against Managers
Apparently, a manager in the Major Leagues is no longer a person to be respected. At least not in the minds of Hanley Ramirez and David Ortiz. Recently, these two players have talked out against their managers, Fredi Gonzalez and Terry Francona, respectively. This is something, that in major league baseball, simply shouldn’t be tolerated.
Ortiz told reporters on Thursday that he wasn’t exactly happy with Francona due to being pinch-hit for twice this season. “I was mad. I was absolutely mad,” Ortiz said during an interview with WEEI. “If you ride with me, you’re going to get two things. Either you’re going to win or you’re going to die with me.”

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
There are a few reasons why I don’t like this from Ortiz. Mainly, because he’s talking about something that happened on April 27th. April 27th. It’s late May. You should never be complaining about something that happened almost a month ago. Especially to the media. Secondly, on April 27th, Ortiz had a .308… slugging percentage. He’s lucky he was in the starting lineup, let along have the opportunity to be pinch hit for. I know that Ortiz has turned it on lately, but it’s ridiculous for him to be talking about something that happened almost a month ago, when he was struggling mightily.
Now on to Ramirez, who is probably more at blame than Ortiz...
