The Battle over Wrestlers: Jeff Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Gregory Helms

Hey Bleacherholics!

I was intending to write only one article featuring one wrestler. However in the past few days  I have found numerous sources concerning various wrestlers about signing with TNA or WWE.

In this article I will talk about the rumors which have been expressed within the Internet Wrestling Community. Some of these rumors have been talked about before and some will have been less talked about amongst the Internet.

PLEASE do not take any of these rumors as facts. These are ALL RUMORS. So let's begin this sloberknocker of an article.

Shelton Benjamin

I am willing to start with something impressive. What wrestler has a moveset as impressive as Shelton Benjamin's?

I am a massive fan of Shelton and when I heard he was let go from WWE, I was..... gutted, to say the least. Shelton was one of my favourites, however some are predicted him to jump boat to TNA and enter an angle with Kurt Angle and potentially Charlie Haas.

Well thanks to the wonders of the Internet, that storyline is in great danger. I say this because WWE also found rumors concerning the trio and WWE will see this as a great advantage for TNA.

Simple as this: WWE wants to prevent this angle from happening, so WWE has thought of re-signing the Gold Standard.

At this moment in time Shelton is currently undergoing classes at the University of Minnesota, and after those classes are done and only after Shelton may consider reprising his role in WWE or reprising his partnership with Kurt Angle.

Tara (or Victoria for All You WWE Fanatics out There)

Tara is currently unhappy with her standings in TNA and is hoping to return to the WWE. The chance of that happening is currently higher than ever before.

Let me explain; Mickie James was recently axed by WWE and the brand she performed on SmackDown! has just lost a veteran diva, Beth Phoenix as she is inured. As Beth was one of the better women performers on SmackDown! and Mickie was too until her release.

Someone has to replace Beth. This is where Tara becomes involved, as she is a veteran and  sees herself as the perfect option to fill the void on SmackDown!

Although she isn't as big as Mickie James, Tara/Victoria will be an acceptable performer to replace her.

From One Lady to Another, Next Is Mickie James

I'm keeping this one short, Mickie James was recently reported to have a meeting with Dixie Carter of TNA. Is TNA the next thing for Mickie James, I suppose so!

Mike Knox

Now we move on to someone you're probably not aware of since his release, Mike Knox. News to me is that Taz is a pretty big fan of this mean dude. If Taz can pull strings within TNA, Mike Knox may have luck on his side.

However, Taz's campaign hasn't been a big hit with Bishoff and Hogan. It's thought that Bischoff has at least some acknowledgement of him and his past, whilst Hulk Hogan has heard nothing of him.

Maybe he will at least shave that awful beard of his when he returns!

Gregory Helms

Second to last is the man formerly known as The Hurricane, Gregory Helms. It's pretty clear TNA are high of Jeff Hardy, therefore Jeff can pull a few strings. One of those strings is Gregory Helms entering the company.

Although Helms has reportedly verbally agreed with signing with TNA, he hasn't signed anything due to the no-complete clause the WWE has over him. 

As Jeff Hardy is important to TNA, TNA are more than willing to keep him happy. If Helms in TNA is making Jeff happy, TNA will likely do so.

TNA are thought to play off the friendship between Helms, Moore, and Jeff Hardy, and are thinking in adding Jesse Neal.

Although Helms to TNA is the main story, some people will be looking at one-third of the trio which make up The Beautiful People, Velvet Sky, as the potential deal-breaker for Helms.

Gregory Helms was in a relationship with Velvet Sky and has expressed on the Internet that he took it hard (who wouldn't?). If the Helms does join TNA, what will the consequences be between them?

Let's hope they can just be professional.

Jeff Hardy

Last of all I will finish with a wrestler who is highly popular with both PG Era fans and Attitude Era fans. Although this wrestler has been involved with the police lately, his fanbase is as strong as ever.

I am of course talking about the charismatic enigma: Jeff Hardy. Although he has already joined TNA, I thought I would explain his story further as well. 

It has been highly publicized on the Internet that WWE were more than willing to         re-employ Jeff Hardy and in addition I have found some more interesting news to add to the story.

As you should know, Jeff Hardy is one of the biggest wrestlers at this moment in time, as Vince McMahon is in his business mind, he saw a loop hole when Jeff left WWE.

The loop hole was a pretty big one to add.

He lost a massive superstar, which he built up. On the 28th of August 2009, CM Punk beat Jeff Hardy in a stipulation which saw Hardy leave WWE. This set up the door for Hardy to join rival promotion TNA.

Although TNA is considered a minor threat to WWE, Vince still is able to see them as a challenger. He wanted to eliminate TNA by making sure that no main-eventer or big draws go to them.

Of course Hardy goes on with a beat from his own drum (so to say). as Hardy joined TNA to the rejection of this suspected following offer:

• A guaranteed $750,000, which could have blown over the million dollar mark if included his merchandise sales.
• Jeff Hardy to work a 5-7 days per month, Which is thought to be the lightest schedule a WWE superstar can have.

Vince McMahon considered this the deal which no one can refuse!

Well you, sir, are incorrect, because Hardy declined the offer, and it is thought to be due to wanting payback. Not a massive payback, but something that would only stick it to Vince.

The revenge was joining rival force TNA.
