Mourinho To Real Madrid My View

News and rumours has been all over the media with the anticipation of Jose Mourinho to be the New Coach of Real Madrid. A lot has been said with many people and journalists saying that Mourinho is perfect for Madrid. Yes it has happened before that Madrid were once interested in Mourinho some professionals Like Luis Figo( Currently a non-playing staff at Inter Milan) said he will be perfect while Rafa Benitez ( Liverpool Manager) said he wont.

The same has been with the fans. I in particular do not think Mourinho is perfect for Real Madrid. Why? Here are my reasons.

1.Mourinho Personality.
Jose Mourinho is know for his arrogance and selfishness. He loves his team's and will always be honest to his players when in search for honours. But Mourinho serves no one but himself. He doesn't listen to no one. Not the President, owner or fans. This will not work with Madrid as in Madrid the President dictate everything  from signings and sometimes even the first eleven.

2.Mourinho Playing style.
Mourinho is known for wining trophies. But he does that playing ugly he doesn't play beautiful football that the Real Madrid fans and President demand. We have witness Fabio Capello fired twice after wining a trophy and fired because of his style of football. The fans may stay quiet for one season but I don't believe they will enjoy ugly football for two seasons. With the way Barcelona are playing beautiful football the fans will demand Mourinho to match and play beautiful football than Barcelona something that is not in Mourinho's DNA.

3. Pelegrini
Manuel Pelegrini even without winning anything but he has given the bernabeu fans what they always demand every now and then. He played good football his only problem was when against an opponent who is determined to break our type of play. he was without a plan B and with the team still trying to find cohesiveness it was hard to overcome that. That beautiful football of average 3 goals per game can not be delivered by Mourinho. The fans will demand the same type of football from Mourinho with the trophies but Mourinho will only be able to deliver the latter.

4. Mourinho's media Disease
Mourinho is suffered from a Media disease not only in Italy where he is saying he hate the life there. But even when he was in England he was always having problems with the media. Now in Spain the media is harsh than ever. With Marca and AS demanding good football and trophies the coach is always the one to sacrifice when things go different like Pelegrini suffered this harsh treatment from the beginning of the season. The title of MARCA after the UEFA champions league elimination saying Goodbye Champions, Goodbye Pellegrini speaks by Itself. Mourinho will suffer the same fate with every defeat or draw and after a while even a 1-0 victory. Pelegrini tried and succeed to ignore the media something that Mourinho wont tolerate. Also Mundo Deportivo(catalan based paper) will always try to unsettle the team something that always result a bad reaction from Mourinho.

5. Control Freak
Mourinho is a control freak he likes to dictate the play and his players. This will be a problem with players like Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo. Players who are known for their attacking power and ability to change the game with a single display. This will be a problem as Ronaldo would like to score as many goals as possible and with Mourinho style of play he will not have that chance. Mourinho is known by winning 1-0. This will cause a rift between the player and the coach and i believe we will witness some disagreement on the pitch with Ronaldo trying to attack and score many goals with the coach asking them to control the game and play defensive leading to a potential dressing room problem within the team.

MY CONCLUSION

Mourinho is a winning coach and for teams like Chelsea and Inter who have gone a long time without success and not demanding on the type of football he fits the post. But for a team like Madrid, that yes they demand trophies but not just trophies but trophies with style Mourinho doesn't suit the purpose. I will like to see stability within the team allowing Pelegrini to continue for another season and evaluate his success after that.
