Tottenham have opened talks with Galatasaray to bring Turkish wing wizard Arda Turan to White Hart Lane.

The two clubs are negotiating a swap deal that will see Mexican winger Giovani dos Santos go the other way. Spurs will also pay an additional 4 million pounds to Galatasaray.

Turan is currently captain of Galatasaray, and he assisted 25 goals in 44 appearances for the club last season.

He has often expressed his desire to come to English Premier League, particularly praising Liverpool. But now he looks set to join high-flying Tottenham.

Turan is a highly skillful and versatile winger who can play on either wing with ease. He will be an excellent addition to the Spurs side, if the the London club can pull it off.
