Monday Night RAW Report: 6 Days Away From Over The Limit

The show opens and we are live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where tonight is a commercial free RAW! Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole welcome us and John Cena Vs. Sheamus well be your main event! Also, Edge and Randy Orton, who square off at Over The Limit, pick opponents for each other tonight as they will compete in pick your poison matches.

Bret Hart comes to the ring address the fans. He talked about his United States Championship Match against The Miz tonight. But he says over the past few days, he has changed his mind and does want to compete tonight. He does not want to be one of those wrestlers who holds on too long.

Chris Jericho comes out and says he already has. Jericho makes taunting comments towards Hart, trying to lure him back into the match. Hart finally accepts and Jericho tells Hart to make it a No Disqualification, No Countout match. Hart says he would not have it any other way.

Edge makes his way to the ring, ready for his Pick Your Poison Match. He cuts a promo but is cut off by Christian!

1^st Match

Edge Vs. Christian

After a back and forth battle that featured many nearfalls, Edge picks up the grueling win after a Spear.

WINNER: Edge!

After the match, Randy Orton comes out on the TitanTron and congratulates Edge on the victory. But that is not who Orton had picked for Edge to face.

The lights go out and gongs are heard throughout the arena. Edge cannot believe it as The Undertaker makes his way to the ring.

2^nd Match

Edge Vs. The Undertaker

Edge intentionally gets himself counted out, giving The Undertaker the win

WINNER by Countout: The Undertaker!

After the match, while Edge is distracted by The Undertaker, Christian grabs Edge and throws him back into the ring, leading up to a Chokeslam from the Deadman!

We cut to backstage where Maryse is getting her makeup done and begins to talk about Eve. While Maryse is talking, Eve sneaks into the room and pours powder on her hair. The two begin to brawl.

We cut to the guest host, Buzz Aldrin and his wife, who are greeted by Vickie Guerrero who calmly explains that this is her office. Aldrin reminds her that she resigned last week and has the Bella Twins escort her out of the building.

3^rd Match

Mark Henry Vs. Batista

An injured Mark Henry is on his way to the ring to face Batista, but is attacked from behind by The Animal. Batista uses the steel post and the steel steps to take out The World’s Strongest Man.

WINNER: No Contest

We cut to December’s pay-per-view, TLC, and how Sheamus defeated John Cena to become WWE Champion. They face off in our main event tonight.

4^th Match

Ted DiBiase w/ Virgil Vs. Yoshi Tatsu

DiBiase gets the win after connecting with Dream Street.

WINNER: Ted DiBiase!

Ted DiBiase orders Virgil to grab him the mic. He starts by telling R-Truth that his dad’s Virgil is not afraid to be his Virgil. He goes on saying Sunday, at Over The Limit, he’ll be there when he beats R-Truth.

We’re backstage where Chris Jericho and the United States Champion The Miz are plotting something. Miz then gets on the mic and starts to talk about Bret Hart while heading to the ring for his United States Championship Match.

He vows to make Bret Hart tap out to the Sharpshooter.

5^th Match

United States Championship Match

The Miz © Vs. Bret “The Hitman” Hart

Miz states that he paid some people to neutralize The Hart Dynasty because he knows they will interfere. Vladimir Kozlov and William Regal come out and are met by The Hart Dynasty who fight on the entrance ramp. This leaves Hart by himself with Miz and Jericho until Natalya comes to his aid and slaps Jericho. David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd make their way back to the ring and help Bret Hart lock in the Sharpshooter, getting Miz to tap out!

WINNER and NEW United States Champion: Bret “The Hitman” Hart!

Women’s Champion Layla, Michelle McCool and Maryse Vs. Diva’s Champion Eve and The Bella Twins

Maryse wins the match for her team after planting one of the Bellas with her French Kiss DDT.

WINNERS: Maryse, Michelle McCool and Women’s Champion Layla!

Backstage Josh Matthews is with John Cena and he asks Cena why would he take this match tonight against Sheamus just 6 days from his WWE Championship “I Quit” Match at Over The Limit?

says he will take Sheamus out tonight so he will not be a factor Sunday. He vows if he loses to Batista Sunday, he will not invoke his rematch clause because quitters should not be WWE Champion.

7^th Match

Pick Your Poison

Randy Orton Vs. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger

After a back and forth battle, Orton gained the upper hand until Edge interefered in the match. Orton went for an RKO on Edge, but pushed him into Swagger and The Viper caught Swagger with the RKO instead.

WINNER: Randy Orton by Disqualification

The King and Michael Cole then run down the card for Over The Limit

Buzz Aldrin is now the ring, telling everyone how we need to advance the space program.

He is cut off by Zack Ryder and Alicia Fox. He tells Aldrin to be quiet, but Aldrin says he has 2 high-flying superstars who will shut them up.

8^th Match

Evan Bourne and Gail Kim Vs. Zack Ryder and Alicia Fox

Bourne and Gail pick up the win in this fast paced contest, after Gail pins Fox after her Eat Defeat finisher.

WINNERS: Evan Bourne and Gail Kim!

Main Event

Non-Title Match

WWE Champion John Cena Vs. Sheamus

After a physical contest between the WWE Champion and the Celtic Warrior, Batista interferes, giving Cena the win by disqualification.

WINNER: John Cena!

After the match, The Animal hits Cena with three consecutive Spinebusters, followed by locking him in a submission, trying to get the WWE Champion to say “I Quit” as RAW goes off the air.
