European Soccer: Tuesday's Rumour Mill

With transfer windows open across most of Europe, the transfer gossip machine is in full swing.

With rumours flying around linking top name players to different clubs, the usual big spending clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea have now got new competition in town with Manchester City looking to outbid anyone for there targets.

Here are some of Tuesday's Transfer Rumours.

Pepe Reina

Football site footylatest reports that Arsenal have made a 14 million pound bid to sign Liverpool Keeper Pepe Reina, but the bid was turned down by Liverpool.

Franck Ribery

The same site reports that Manchester United are set to launch a 50 million pound bid to lure French wing wizard Franck Ribery to Old Trafford. But that seems highly unlikely considering the massive debts being carried by the Old Trafford club.

Sidney Govou

The Daily Mail reports that French International Sidney Govou will move to Upton Park after West Ham beat competition from Sunderland and Birmingham to sign the French star.

Javier Mascherano

Another player that looks destined for a new club is Argentinian captain Javier Mascherano, who wants to move away from Anfield citing family problems.The potential destinations could be Barcelona and Real Madrid.

David Luiz

The Daily Mail reports that Manchester City is set to launch a massive 25 illion pound bid to lure Brazilian defender David Luiz from Benfica, but they will face stiff competition from Real Madrid for his signature.
