I Guess Having Beth Drop The Title So Fast Was The WWE's Plan All Along
What's up Bleaches? ''I ain't got any time to waste, so let’s bleach it!''
As most of you already know, Beth Phoenix lost her WWE's Women’s Championship, on this week’s episode of Friday night SmackDown!
Beth Phoenix was poised to defend her WWE Women's Championship against Rosa Mendes, but before the match could even start, Vickie Guerrero would come out and tell Rosa Mendes to leave the ring immediately.

Vickie then announced that Beth would be facing Layla and Michelle McCool instead, in a two-on-one handicap match, for her WWE Women's Championship. The Buffalo crowd was really into the match and rallied behind their hometown girl, Beth Phoenix. The main highlight of the match was when Beth hoisted Michelle and Layla on her shoulders and hit a big Samoan drop on both of them, but the assault was just to much for Beth to bear.
After a collision between Beth and Michelle left both Divas reeling, Layla capitalized and covered Beth to become the new Women’s Champion. Layla also made history by becoming the first ever ''English-born'' WWE Women's Champion.
I guess the injury Beth sustained on last week’s episode of WWE Superstars was much more severe than I thought, so WWE had her drop the title. This allows her to have surgery done on the injury as-soon-as possible.
Beth wrote the following on her WWE blog about the injury:
"Two weeks ago on Superstars, I had a match against new SmackDown! Diva, Rosa Mendes. During the course of the match I was able to reverse an Irish Whip into the corner and counter Rosa with an Up and over manoeuvre where I jump out of the turnbuckle, over her and show her what The Glamazon is made of. However, when I landed, feet side by side, as I have thousands of times over the course of my career, my left knee buckled to the side and I heard a very distinctive, "Crunch.""
Beth revealed she suffered a bruised bone, torn & displaced Meniscus, a sprained MCL and a torn ACL. She was advised by doctors to get surgery and will be going under the knife this coming Tuesday in Alabama with the world-renowned Dr. James Andrews.
It broke my heart watching her after the match, but I guess having her lose the title was the best thing right now. Why couldn't they just have Beth come out to her hometown of Buffalo, let her have a emotional moment with them, and tell them that she would have to vacate the title because of her injury? I think having her lose in her hometown was uncalled for and they should have just left the title vacant and have a tournament to determine the new champion, but NO! They rather take the easy way out.
I just hope that Beth won't stay out to long and hopefully the Glamazon will be back in fighting form, to take back what is right fully hers.
All comments are welcomed.
