Cedric Benson 2010 Fantasy Football Projection
Cedric Benson was reborn last season. After being discarded by the Bears, his career was derailed and seemingly on the decline. Of all the places to resurrect his career, Cincinnati seemed like the least likely place to do it.
Next season, Benson is likely a top 10 RB. Carson Palmer received some help in the receiving core with the addition of Jermaine Gresham and Jordan Shipley, forcing secondaries to respect the NFL’s 26th ranked passing offense. These newly created holes will allow Cedric Benson to run wild. He is the main man in a weak RB core too, so expect him to get 20 to 30 carries a game. There is some worry about the youth movement along the OL in Cinci, and a difficult schedule. But, Mr. Benson’s defined role as the starting RB should give him some serious fantasy points.
