Cage Hero Founder Talks Apparel Brand, Sponsored Fighter, and More
MMA apparel company, Cage Hero has a very distinct message “The Hero Comes From Within”. The brand is not only a lifestyle but the company and fighters themselves are a family. Each fighter that is sponsored through Cage Hero is following their passion in the sport of mixed martial arts. Co-Founder of Cage Hero, Ian Parker explains what the brands motto and meaning truly stand for. “Our motto is “The Hero Comes from Within.” What that really means to us is that we’re trying to get people to follow their passion. Do what you love, and if you really believe in something then you can make it happen. With every person there is a hero.” The brand started with the focus of being unique and providing fight fans with a look that they had never seen. After all, being different is what makes each one of us truly special. “My game plan going into this was that I wanted to be this new message that broke the mold into MMA. We’re a different look then you normally see and a different message than most.” Cage Hero has brought former Strikeforce champion, Cung Le (6-1) on board and Le became the first fighter to sign on with brand. “I truly believe that what makes Cung so great is that he’s not only a fighter. He’s everywhere and he reaches out to everyone. Cung is a tremendous fighter and he exemplifies what Cage Hero is all about.” With that being said, Parker does not want to only reach out to certain fighters or a particular demographic. His goal is to get the meaning of Cage Hero out to everyone possible. “I want to reach out to everyone, whether it’s the amateur fighters to the UFC. It’s really to inspire everyone, it (the brand) has so many meanings and it’s something that anyone can connect with.” In order to connect with people of the sport, Parker feels that one must reach out to everyone regardless of age or gender. “Cage Hero isn’t limited to just men or to just women. I have it in toddler, kids, men and women of all ages. I don’t want anyone to be left out.” For additional information on Cage Hero visit: www.cagehero.net , Twitter: @CageHero , and Facebook: Cage Hero.
