The player pictured is not Matt Jones. Matt Jones had a bit better day at minus 6 than my A player in fantasy this week in Ernie Els.

Ernie is not responding in the hot Texas air, and may need some oxygen before Friday is over at this rate. He did, however, post an even round of 72, but is already six shots back.

For those not too familiar will Jones, he is from Sydney, New South Wales, Austrailia.

He attended Arizona State University and turned pro in 2001. He is enjoying his best season so far, with four top 10's, and is currently ranked 60th in the Fed -Ex Cup standings.

Also playing well on Thursday and in contention to keep playing on the weekend, will be Paul Stankowski, with a tidy minus five, and Charley Hoffman, Steve Lowery, Matt Weibring, and my B fantasy player this week, J.B. Holmes. all at minus four.

It looks like low scoring with be the normal course of events this week too, so I would look for a cut line to be right at even par.

My C fantasy player, Jarrod Lyle is in at minus two and 11th place. Way to go, and if you make the cut, I will delve into your past a bit tomorrow.

Have a nice day, and try to make all your five footers.
