Fantasy Baseball Box Score Breakouts – 5/12/10
Here’s a look at the unheralded players who played well yesterday. Homer Bailey, Cincinnati Reds (pictured) Travis Snider, Toronto Blue Jays Brooks Conrad, Atlanta Braves Derek Lowe, Atlanta Braves Roger Bernadina, Washington Nationals Miguel Olivo, Colorado Rockies Brad Bergesen, Baltimore Orioles Jeremy Bonderman, Detroit Tigers Jeff Keppinger, Houston Astros Max Ramirez, Texas Rangers Derek Holland, Texas Rangers Adam LaRoche, Arizona Diamondbacks Potent Middle Relievers :
Bailey picked up where Cueto left off. He also threw a complete game shutout. Bailey gave up 4 hits and had 6 Ks. He’s now 1-2 with a 5.66 ERA.
Snider went 2 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBIs. He’s hitting .232 with 5 HRs and 12 RBIs.
Conrad went 2 for 4 with a HR and 4 RBIs. He’s hitting .250 in limited at bats, but has played well in Chipper Jones’ absence.
Now this is the Lowe I’m used to. He gave up 2 runs in 6 innings to beat the Brew Crew. He’s 5-3 with a 5.73 ERA.
Bernadina went 3 for 5 with 2 HRs, and 3 RBIs. He’s hitting .263 on the year.
Olivo went 5 for 5 with a HR (6) to raise his average to .274.
Bergesen gave up 1 run on 5 hits in 7-2/3 innings to improve to 3-2 with a 5.76 ERA.
Bonderman took the loss, but he has nothing to be ashamed about. He held the Yankees to 2 runs on 5 hits with 7 Ks in 7 innings. He’s now 1-2 with a 5.08 ERA.
Keppinger went 2 for 4 with 2 runs, and 3 RBIs. He’s hitting .260.
Max went 3 for 4 with a HR. He’s hitting .385.
Holland was brilliant in his first start of the year. He threw 6 scoreless innings allowing 5 hits and picking up 7 Ks.
LaRoche went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. He’s hitting .257 with 23 RBIs on the year.
